Chavmeisterdeluxe
That's depressing, what a dull sub they're going to be.
lightning1000
That's depressing, what a dull sub they're going to be. About as dull as Jake bugg.
sjseabass
About as dull as Jake bugg. But less shit. And actually sub sized.
dentalplan
If Jake Bugg didn't sub at T and have a sub equivalent slot at Glastonbury then I think him not being a sub would still be an argument. DomDom1984
Jake Bugg wasn't far away from sub sized when he played there. Certainly, you can make as much of an argument for either doing it. Alt-J were actually VERY good at T in the Park when they headlined Tuts. Still can't be arsed with their albums though. JSmurphy
Alt-J would be a great sub, been looking for a chance to see them since seeing Eminem rather than them in 2013.
sjseabass
My argument would be that all three festivals were having a weak year by putting him as a sub / Other headliner
DGrant261
Alt-J added as a strong rumour. Guess most were expecting them anyway. Still think they're more likely to do Glasto or T this year. If they do play Reading it would have to be as a sub, but I'm not sure what kinda headliner they would be a appropriate sub for. dentalplan
My argument would be that all three festivals were having a weak year by putting him as a sub / Other headliner Or our logic for predicting where acts play isn't always right? If one festival books him for it then I would agree it's weak (so you could still argue it for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis) but when three of the biggest in the UK do then I think we're just wrong. Still think they're more likely to do Glasto or T this year. If they do play Reading it would have to be as a sub, but I'm not sure what kinda headliner they would be a appropriate sub for. They can do all three (like Jake Bugg!) but I agree it's hard to pick out who they could sub. You'd think it'd be the other one to Metallica and The Libertines, if their strong rumour does become true... and if they're headlining. hamishrankin
What about Papa Roach? Will they play sometime over the weekend?
hamishrankin
and is it too soon for Fall out Boy to be back, if they were back i'd say they'd either sub the main stage or headline the radio
Andre91
FOB will sub next year I reckon.
foolee
It'll be along the lines of Fri: The Libertines/The Vaccines/Jamie.T Sat:Metallica, Fall Out Boy, Royal Blood Sun: Mumford & Sons/Alt-J/The Maccabees
Lumz
In my head I've kind of resigned to the following... Friday: Libertines, Vaccines, Courteeners, Royal Blood Saturday: Metallica Sunday: Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy Can really see it being something along those lines! DomDom1984
I take it Royal Blood stop supporting Foo Fighters at that point then?
justanothername
What about Papa Roach? Will they play sometime over the weekend? Doubt it, they're playing in Europe in early summer. Will probably do Download I take it Royal Blood stop supporting Foo Fighters at that point then? Yeah
Rose-Colored Boy
What about Papa Roach? Will they play sometime over the weekend? They had a good slot this year but if the album does well I guess you never know. I take it Royal Blood stop supporting Foo Fighters at that point then? Yeah they 'conveniently' have R&L weekend off. DomDom1984
Aye, they'll be dead certs then. Probably third from the top, or headlining R1.
