Ah okay I couldn't remember the quote. I just remember us saying it made them less likely and assumed the quote made it sound like R&L. But yeah what other UK fest would be offering them a slot below one hit wonder acts? Maybe T wanted them as their token one good act per year a la Pixies and MBV/Kraftwerk (okay two acts that year).

I guess R&L must have offered them 3rd down below BMTH.

Download have made so grumbles about getting them to play but not as headliners before.

Cause his awesome and would put on a fantastic show as well being a bit of a "name".

Despite not selling out a relatively small arena in Leeds on the same album tour?

Irrelevant anyway. Coachella doesn't mean anything for the R+L lineup. I reckon The Dead Weather will be up and running in the summer, and they'll probably stop off at Glastonbury 'cos Jack's a massive Glastobater even though he fucked it up badly last year.

I remember how desperately we all awaited last year's Pukkelpop announcement to see if they had Jack White.

Who will it be this year? Weezer?

What was that festival Linkin Park are supposed to be doing? Something in Germany or something isn't it?

Yeah that was some shit.

I dunno what's going on with Weezer. They've not landed on the Lollapalooza, Coachella, Governors Ball or any European lineups. Just Burgerama 4.

Something like that. They'll probably end up on PKP lineup regardless. I'll predict that Mumfords get announced for it because they may have other announcements coming shortly, and everyone here is like "how about Mumford and Sons?" and Matt confirms it. Then they get announced for V because obvious.

Burgerama and Bangface Weekender. Big Summer for Weezer.

Yeah Mumford at V seems probable if they're around in August.

Linkin Park, Florence and Mumford for Pukkelpop or some other arse. Don't they have 6 headliners actually?

They've got more than 3 anyway, i think it's a bit like werchter with headliners and then closing acts so seems like 5/6 headliners

I can very much see Jack White playing next year. maybe he can cohead w/ libs ayyy

What I was thinking, but i'm glad you said it before me.

Jack White, The Libertines, Metallica and Mumford & Sons would be a very varied (and great) set of headliners

i'd probably buy a ticket

His still a well known name :P He could do it with a strong sub if they got desperate.

I'd guess you are right about Dead Weather starting up again in the summer, maybe Coachella was just to good an offer for him to turn with it being relatively early to.

I'm not a fan of the libs and I don't really have a drive to see mumford and sons again so I dunno where you've got that one from matey

Because Jack White wouldn't headline solo and there's (once again) nothing to say he'll be around?

Twice at Glastonbury I heard someone describe Jack White to someone who didn't know who he was by singing the riff to Seven Nation Army. One of those times was actually at the Pyramid while he was on.

Exactly and then they know who it was!

Maybe he should named on the poster "The guy that done the Seven Nation Army Riff" :P

Prodigy touring in May, but strange venues; varies from Newcastle O2 Academy upto Alexandra Palace..still headliner material?

Subs/Co-headline, they in that weird position where they are a bit bigger than most sub headliners, but not really big enough to headline on their own.
