Yeah I know I was just stirring.

Sorry.

Fair enough.

It's plausible that Melvin just assumed Metallica had, like Matt assumed they had, but it'd be an odd thing to give as the sole clue that's meant to be sort of throwaway.

I still reckon Kasabian will headline and that Mumfords aren't really right for the fest and will do V but we still have to wait and see on most of these surrounding festival announcements.

Chvrches the first time, they only had 2 songs out at the time and played about 8-9 unreleased songs ending with a Prince cover

50 minute set with no album released? Blimey. No wonder nearly every act bar four on that stage had 35 minutes or less last year then.

as much as i want it to be Kasabian i cant see them doing anything this year apart from writing and recording

I think 1/2 big UK shows of their own, some European/US festivals and at a push 1 UK festival this summer. Too soon after their 2012 set for them to do R&L again. After the next album maybe

Carl Barat currently taking 'Jackals' Q&A on Facebook, when asked if he would be at Glastonbury this year his answer was " I imagine so, don't know if I'm playing yet though..."

Along with that when asked about R&L he said "Nothing confirmed yet on the R&L front yet but we will inevitably return to Scotland x"

Edit: But why would he say anyway!

yeah i've been wondering why Peace are being placed so high. i've not really kept up with them, because they're shite, but are they really that popular? subbing would make sense but headlining seems a bit much

My thoughts exactly, I saw them supporting Bombay Bicycle Club and wasn't particularly impressed, I could see them subbing but headlining is a step too far in my opinion

Based on their slot last year; NME sub would be the minimum shift up the line up. We know R+L like to shepherd the progress of acts that have grown through their festival so are more likely to take the risk and have them headline the stage instead. Plus they've got quite a strong fanbase going for them (probably) within the R+L clientele so it's not really that unlikely they'll give Peace a chance.

Not sure, they played behind a 2manydjs closing set and The Streets on their last ever tour the last time off the back of one album, so why not step up to headliner or behind a closing act this time

nah i don't think they've really done enough to justify moving up too much. they've released a new album, but last time they played was off the back off a much hyped reunion, so it kind of evens out. wouldn't be surprised to see them booked in the same position (if they are booked), and hopefully not on the main stage
