Great job done on the fake poster though - it's the most plausible one I've ever seen. Someone sent me it last night and I was pretty pleased with a lot of it. Instantly checked on here though to have my pessimistic suspicions confirmed.

Tbh if efestivals were to make up a band and put them high on a poster which we then spread people would proclaim them there favorites so I don't think the wrong dates will stop people!!

Some of the reasons given for smart people figuring out the poster's a fake are almost as comical as people believe it. "Kaiser Chiefs would headline surely" & "Chase & Status have been announced but aren't on that" among my favourites

Shluld I explain to him although the line up is fake he will still get to see Metallica?

To be fair he probably means that he's not planning to go at the moment cause the rest of the lineup announced is shite, but that fake lineup was good so he would end up going and get to see Metallica.

Yeah he PM'd me after I posted that yesterday and we ended up discussing every festival lineup under the sun. I wouldn't be able to read this every day and not post; I've tried it but there's always some bollocks you can't bring yourself not to reply to.

I would of thought Metallica would have been enough to keep you intrested in this section for at least the other announcements.

Nah, the week following announcement day has always been a bit dull to me. I just think this year it's moreso as I didn't even expect anything.

Ill probably linger a bit and mock people, but metallica aren't special and I feel more inclined for a trip to see flaming lips than spend loads on metallica who I've seen loads of times. Unlikely to steward as I wouldn't be able to get Wednesday and Monday off work with other commitments. Think it very unlikely I'll go. And I'm still appalled by the booking decisions last year

At 18 for a day ticket it feels impossible not to be interested. Not sure I can be arsed with much travelling though.

Not a fan but they were leaked for a festival in August and their booking agent is taking live booking offers so they're pretty much back. Whatever the countdown is will be to some new music or something I suppose.

Wasn't anything over here. Chemical Brothers were announced for SonneMondSterne in Germany and the poster they'd been sent to put up on Facebook had an unannounced Faithless on it and it was changed after loads of people twigged.
