thewayiam
I 100% agree. 2008 and 2010 were the strongest for me. i can see people's liking for 2008 but I thought 2010 had a bit of everything. Extremely helped out by two reforms no doubt and a Weezer appearance. But the weather was decent too. Didn't help for 2008 that in the end, Slipknot pulled out and A7X didn't perform

lightning1000
They didn't perform at reading you mean? I definitely remember watching them at Leeds. Think they played 4th from top on main before feeder.
Dan R
They only played four songs though iirc. The singer lost his voice in the last one and got a girl onstage to sing the rest of it. Then left and pulled out of reading completely.

Com Truise
Do you think The Vaccines could get to headline status by 2015? It's not outside the realms of possibilities but I wouldn't like that to happen til 2016 at the earliest tbh edit; and BMTH playing third, with Shikari subbing, that's an insult to Rage Edited August 29, 2013 by Com Truise

If their next album goes to number one and they have a couple of singles that get loads of airplay, and a proper arena tour since they've done the one O2 date, I think they will be given the step up. And hahaha, you could swap BMTH and The Offspring if it makes you feel better I know I put Shikari third down on my 2014 lineup but I genuinely think they will take a year off in 2014 and return with a new album in 2015 to sub. I think Vaccines will be back next year or 2015 to sub and they'll take at least a year between their sub spot and headline. Or that would make more sense to me anyway. I don't think Shikari are ready to play third or sub yet either. I think they'll headline NME, possibly next year. Then take a year out. Then play third. Then sub. But of course this is Festival Republic and Shikari will probs be headlining by 2015

Com Truise
I don't really think YMAS are gonna get much bigger than they are at the minute. Personally don't think (or hope) they'll ever play higher than third main!
Andre91
I think they could one day sub. But I can't ever see them headlining. YMA6 that is. Did anybody else see the Biffy interview where Simon said there's no shame in going back down the lineup after headlining? That's a great attitude considering how many artist you get who are up their own backsides. Although, I can't see Biffy NOT headlining the next time they play, especially if their next album has the same success as Opposites. Com Truise
Yeah I saw that, thought it was really humble of them. Fully expect them to headline T next year, and I hope one day they get to headline Glastonbury! On this topic, I eagerly anticipate the return of Marmaduke Duke, they've still got the last in the set to release

Gucci Piggy
Reckon The Vaccines will sub next year, then return to headline in 2016, with Muse and Radiohead, to balance out the awesomeness. I'm joking, but I do think they'll sub next year and maybe headline in 2016, with Muse maybe, but not Radiohead.
