Not sure if this has been mentioned, but does anyone think Alt-J's appearance at Glasto, Latitude and T In The Park will affect their eFestivals position as "Definitely the TBA Sub"?

Is it ridiculous for them to play all those fests, or does the delay of their announcement make more sense because of it?

Well, Jake Bugg did all but Latitude didn't he, and the thinking is that if it is Alt-J it's solely because of Latitude that it's being held back, so yeah it makes sense (and also isn't ridiculous seeing as Glasto and T sales have little bearing on R&L sales.)

I think the Glasto line up is good but nothing that makes me want to go desperately. Just a lot of acts I wouldn't mind seeing and one or two I'd have to see. There is more for me at R&L that I would I'd have to see and even more I wouldn't mind seeing.

Wait a second? Bowie isn't playing Glasto this year so this surely means that he got to be at R&L this year. Tryannicide was onto something here

Yeah, Latitude isn't a surprise cause of Melvin. But I just wonder if any acts have played prominent roles at the three biggest UK festivals in one year, as well as headlining Lati.

Foals did all 4 in 2013, albeit a slot lower at Glastonbury and R&L.

I am also just praying for someone else as sub-headliner cause I am doing Leeds, Primavera and Latitude, and I'd rather they weren't headlining, co-headlining and sub-headlining all three haha.

Nah just announced as normal. I'm sure they were one of the earlier R&L announcements as well.

Yeah, if we go down the logical "holding them off to sell tickets elsewhere" route, then I can't think of many others. I thought maybe The Strokes, but maybe they are too big to sub.

I also think the Glasto lineup is shithouse. No wow factor and 3 bands worth watching at first glance. Even T has a better line up.

The Prodigy are around. But considering they'd be wedged between Bastille and Mumfords and clash with Limpbizkit and RTJ. It would look quite daft.
