Twin Atlantic are bollocks, aren't they? I saw them in 2012 (I think) on the NME Stage after being told they were good, and they were a fucking abomination.

I've seen them three times, twice NME and one main stage (or something) and I like them... A lot.

Well I used to... I don't enjoy their new album as much. Won't see them this year.

Thought they were all right on the main stage 2013, caught the two biggest singles back to back & had some mandy which probably helped.

Catfish already said they were the penultimate act so TA are either playing just before them or on Main.

word I've heard is that TA are playing between Rebel Sound and Catfish .... and the guy who gave me this info has already proven that his info is spot on, so I'm guessing this bit will be too.

Was hoping for someone better to be slotted there tbh, someone a bit more like RS than CATB.

TA's placings of recent years, have been somewhat irratic I'm not sure if they're up for a sub spot after playing at 5pm last year, bit of an uneccessary bump up IMO. On the other hand, they have a decent fan base and they have the songs to put together a decent set list too so, good luck to them.

Brand New announced some dates in early September, maybe they'll come early to play Reading? But it could also be that announcing these dates could rule them out, especially as they're playing Ally Pally as that's a pretty big venue.

Wasn't it assumed their booking last year was a last minute thing, seeing as their slot was so much lower than the year before? If you ignore last year, and just consider the fact they were 6th from top of main in 2013 (before Brand New bailed), then subbing NME seems logical. That's probably where I'd have placed them if I was told they'd be on NME.

If that is assumed, then I suppose the next logical step is to sub. It would make sense to assume that too as their album came out like a week before the festival, which suggests a late booking was made when TA knew they're album would be released in time for the festival- and they took any slot they could to promote it.

I mean, in terms of chart position- I believe their latest album was their best yet so a step down seem illogical. (I forgot they were a late booking and forgot about their album release- they are worthy to sub)

Yeah I think it would be the latter. They seem well placed to pop by Bestival though.
