What's with the 'whoop there it is' during every dance acts sets now? It's fucking stupid and just ruins it.

It's been happenint since I've been going to leeds. I think the leeds u wot u wot chants are considerbly worse

The leeds site isn't as empty ad I thought it'd be, on wed/thurs most of the campsites looked half full but now yellow/blue/orange are all pretty full up.

I spoke to a security member and he said in their briefing they're expecting 35-40k weekend tickets but a load of day tickets. When I was working the arena entrance yesterday there was about 3 weekend tickets to every day ticket going through.

The Libertines crowd last night was the most mental crowd I've ever been in, I wasn't expecting that from a catfish and the bottlemen knock off

Looking at some of the setlists today, Refused missed out some noticeable hits, The Gaslight Anthem did, Frank did but I guess it is solo and not his own band (maybe changed my view on seeing him alone solo, and I wouldn't pay £30 for his tour), The Libertines wasn't much different to the Glastonbury set bar Barbarians, longer obviously but nothing I didn't hear at last Leeds, Ally Pally or Glastonbury. The Cribs set seemed to be what I expected and decent, probably the act I would have most looked forward to. That Refused set would have disappointed me. Also from a report The Libertines didn't quite live upto a headline set and that was from NME (Dohertys very own). I'd have to agree though, sub felt just right at Glastonbury, headline would have felt like something missing. It's a thing to be very careful with as for a sub spot all you really want and need is a good performance, for a headline spot, you want that extra thing that stands out and for me and clearly as I've seen them a few times I like them they just aren't there. In all fairness though, they were nowhere near there years back at their original.

My day one impressions

Neck Deep - Fine, the wind played havoc with the sound.

Echosmith - only knew the one song but they were quite fun.

Palma Violets - sat at main stage while this utter shite was on, were they all smashed or are they normally like that?

Panic at the Disco - sound was crap at times but really good set.

Don Broco - lot of new stuff which was fine by me. Less packed than last year, probably due to the clash with ATL. Lot less dickheads too though so bonus.

Bastille - enjoyed this more than expected

Limp Bizkit - great fun, played all the songs I wanted.

Knife Party - crowd can do one.

I agree about the Refused setlist. They only played 9 songs, 4 of those new.

First time I have missed the weekend since 2007 but I have I've just picked up some day tickets for Sunday at £45 a time, good value for me to see Slaves, Royal Blood, Ash and Metallica.

Which site?

Yeah it was poor, if it's 9 songs only 2 should really be new, 3 at max! At least chuck it Summertime!, like their best song!

Ah fair man, if I lived within an hour I'd probably just go myself. Not fussed by Slaves or Metallica. I'd see the 2nd bit of Royal Blood. As It Is, DMA's, PVRIS, Catfish and Ash. I'd watch Riptide Movement and Marmozets too but you still probably need to question price for a full day ticket given that 1st 3 would be seeing at their own gig for £25 for all 3 most likely. Have fun though!....not too much! ;P

Apparently Kendrick stole the show at Leeds last night.

Gaslight did seem to miss out on some classics. They didn't do Great Expectations. I still maintain that they should have been higher up the bill, in Alexisonfire's slot, so they'd have had more time and had more of a "sendoff"

Seeing as these acts played Reading yesterday, and are playing Leeds today, I would hazard a guess at Reading

I didn't even think about what site they would have played to be fair. I suspected Reading as soon as I heard about sound issue's with 1 band at least as that's a big issue with Reading.

Indeed, miss Old White Lincoln if you have to but not Great Expentations. AOF are way too high.

They only did one song off American Slang as well which is IMO their best album

They should have had Modestep in their slot, and then moved Gaslight in between Alexisonfire and Royal Blood.

Oh The 59 Sound is defo my favorite, Great Expectations, The 59 Sound and then Old White Lincoln one after another is great. I quite like High Lonesome, I don't mind Film Noir, Casanova Baby, Meet me by the river's edge or Even Cowboys Get The Blues, the rest on the album or take or leave, saying that Mike Davis & The Cool, Here's Looking at you cool and The Backseat are leave.

I've enjoyed them outside before but always thought inside is better for them, but again I'd never pay to see them inside as I don't like enough of what they'd do.

Is anyone anywhere close to Northamptonshire and fancies getting late day tickets for Leeds tomorrow as they are going cheap?

Not fussed about Metallica and that some of the prices I don't need to be so it'll probably be a stay for twin Atlantic after Ash and set off.

Any word on how they're keeping day ticket holders out of the campsite

Having gone yesterday, they aren't really. Stayed in a mates campsite till about three and it wasn't until we were a minute away from the exit that a staff member asked to see our wristbands.

Kendrick Lamar was incredible BTW.

Watching this I don't mind Metallica but this looks pretty dull to me. Crowd look pretty burnt out quickly and seems like a lot of needless guitar solos and flashing lights.. Maybe that's just me, it's probably great if your there and more into it.
