Com Truise
I think if they'd finish with that, people would leave thinking, 'Is that it?' Well, I speak for those who don't already think that after an Arctic's show
The Placid Casual
They don't really have any big closer-esque songs though do they?
Com Truise
I'd argue that 'A Certain Romance' is one
kaosmark2
I am amazed people are giving FWN and SIAS higher than a 6. They are not good albums.

The Placid Casual
I was thinking bar ACR, because that's an obvious one, they were using R U Mine as a closer earlier on in the year. Perhaps Vampires... could work?
Com Truise
I'd love to see that happen, but unfortunately, I can't see them playing that ever again unless they did a tour for that album (Which me, and the majority of the nation would love) Giving an album that you consider to be dreadful a 6 is quite generous It is late though I suppose Edited September 6, 2013 by Com Truise
The Placid Casual
dreadful in comparison to their other stuff, it's still a million times better than any Courteeners album (for example), of whom I am a fan
dentalplan
I agree, but I only enjoy the first Courteeners album to be fair. I can imagine most on here think it's dogshit, but I like it to be fair. It's got a few catchy songs on there
Com Truise
I think the first album has some nice tracks but the second one is forgettable and the third is just embarrassing.
Seanoooo
Favourite worst nightmare a four, Jesus! There's so many good tracks on there. Brianstorm, teddy picker, this house is a circus, if you were there, beware, only ones who know, 505, fluorescent adolescent
Andre91
Whatever...- 9 FWN-8 Humbug- 8 SIAS- 6.5 AM- 5.
adam1234
Still haven't listened to enough if AM to rate it yet. Whatever... - 8.5/10 FWN-6/10 Humbug-8/10 SIAS-9/
Chiefski
On current listening of the new album Whatever... - 8/10 FWN-7/10 Humbug-9/10 SIAS-7.5/10 AM - 8.5/10 Agreed they could do with a change to the set closer, a bit bored of 505 now, could do without the Alex/Miles love in as well at times. Any of A certain romance, Thats where your wrong, When the sun goes down would do me, from the new one could maybe see them finishing the main set with Knee socks (if they have QOTSA subbing them at L/R next year no doubt Josh will probably join them for that). Gucci Piggy
When they played When The Sun Goes Down at Don Valley I remember thinking it would have worked well as a closer. That or A Certain Romance would be good.
rug568
Haven't listened to AM yet so: Whatever: 9.5 This album is about being in your late teens. I haven't come across an album that more accurately describes my life. So close to perfection FWN 7.5 Maybe it was too rushed, but this is a top album, with some really good songs. Humbug 8 A transition album. I really enjoy listen to it, and it was nice to hear a more mature sound. Suck it and See 8 I think this will get better with age. The only detriment to it is that it doesn't have that one incredible tune like ones on previous albums. It's a triumph and really shows the skill of turner as a song writer. Arctic Monkeys are one of my favorite bands. Whatever came out as I was getting into music, and was the first album I bought, so the band will always have a special place in my heart. I think they are easily one of the best English bands of the last decade As for playing Reading in 2014, I don't think it's going to happen. They always have a set pattern. They headlined English fests in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013, followed with English tours in the autumn. American tour and then write a new album in 2014/2015. Gucci Piggy
But that means they'd headline no UK festivals on the back of AM.
Tobieski
Yeah I think it's inevitable Arctic Monkeys will play UK festivals next year. R+L appears to be the favourite currently, wouldn't have played for 5 years by next year and Festival Republic desperately want them apparently
Com Truise
They might wait longer to write a new album? I hope they do cause I want it to be better.
dentalplan
Don't think there will be another album personally. Alex has to get his solo career going before he's too old.

justanothername
Well they have to headline now! I made a bet with someone who was determined they wouldn't come and I can't think of anyone else really who could come.
