Has anybody gone to RAF before and can give a little information about the festival?

Hi, I went in 2012. Great festival, so this info comes from my 2012 experiences, might have been different this year....

Sweeter and a lot smaller than other major european festivals (this is Luxemburgs largest festival). You have two stages with nearly no time clashes and a large tent between the two stages to sit if you want to. The grounds are large enough and you can always get to the front of the stage. You have to buy food and drink "vouchers" so no cash at the actual food and drink stalls. the festival is somewhere outside of bettembourg not directly in or outside of luxemburg city, a small village with one nice little hotel (don't know if there are more than that there ), I stayed there so cannopt say anything about the camping site, etc. buses run to and from the station to the festival, free of charge. think it sold out for the first time in 2012 and this year again, only a little faster. tickets aren't that expensive. it took place over 3 days this year, 2012 it was still a 2 day adventure.

I'm gonna leave out any comments on some of the crowd. I'll just say it's funny to watch rich (insert "hipster" here if you tend to use the saying) kids at a festival .

Maybe the name of the hotel as at 30+ I'm not a campsite fan...and the average age at the festival But thanks for the info, much appreciated

average age...rather low. I was 29 when I went and felt a bit old.

the hotel's called Hotel Bernini and it wasn't expensive, breakfast was included, under a mile away from the station.

I think we drove from there to the station once and walked once to get the festival shuttle.

There's also an Ibis hotel a bit further up the road.
