Nice Yeah, they are both awesome! I'd recommend I'm Wide Awake It's Morning as a more accessible Bright Eyes album (but still arguably my favourite), or Fevers and Mirrors as a slightly weirder one But I am such a fanboy, so i would recommend anything really...

They're my fav of each band (I'm pretty sure I had Lifted as a sig recommendation for a bit). I'll echo PDAD's recommendation for I'm Wide Awake as the next one to get though. It was the first one I heard and is fantastic.

Good good! I do think they're both excellent. I'd say Fevers and Mirrors is probably the more interesting listen, but I come back to I'm Wide Awake substantially more often.

I had to look up who's on them, but good choice. The Besnard Lakes would be my pick off them, they create such brilliantly powerful atmospheres.

I haven't really heard much of them. I listened to the Dark Horse album (or whatever its called) a couple of years ago and enjoyed it, but never bothered listened to any other material. I really should at some point. Simon Joyner and Sunset Rubdown would be my choices...

Are the Dark Horse is good, Are the Roaring Night is considerably better, and they're fantastic live. Really like Black Mountain and Lightning Dust as well. Didn't realise Dinosaur Jr. were there now either. I haven't listened to any Simon Joyner, recommendations?

I only have the Beautiful Losers 1994-1999 compilation but absolutely love it. Can really see a Velvet Underground influence there.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots is what i started with and it's brilliant!

I'd probably recommend starting with The Soft Bulletin, but Yoshimi and it's hits got me into them.
