Shocked to see that Elbow is ten quid a ticket more than The National. I know it's a hometown gig for them but really?

Guessing the fact it’s on a weekday but still not sold out. Didn’t think I’d get through as I had to drive to work this morning but luckily managed 2 tickets 30mins after sale.

The prices of each show fluctuate quite a bit. I thought this was strange to see as well.

That does seem strange, I couldn't believe the price when the Kylie ones were £65.00; £46.45 is a bit of a bargain imo.

Their fee will be bigger than The National's and they are probably worth more tickets than the 5K for Castlefield hence the higher price.

Will it sell out? A sold out bowl gig is class. Phonics and The Last Shadow Puppets atmosphere was mad. Can’t wait to see The National there. See you’s there.

I'd be shocked if it didn't. Small capacity and they sold out two/three nights at the Apollo a couple of years back.

it'll sell out, but there's a lot of gigs going onsale recently, and with Xmas present etc. people probably don't have the money immediately available.

Ticketline is sold out though I imagine they have a small allocation. Still available on See, Gigs and Ticketmaster...

I meant last year, feels like we're already in 2019. Did they do five nights in Manchester? They did four in Hammersmith.

It will sell out. It felt like advertising for it was really low key maybe? The first I heard about it was half an hour after tickets had gone on sale when I came to lurk on here and saw you lot posting about it!

Going to book a hotel for this early, any recommendations on the best places to stay? 

I’ll be heading up from London and will more than likely have a couple of shandies in the daytime before heading to the gig.

We've booked into the Britannia, smack bang in the centre, short walk to the station and only £79 for the night.

I dont stay in hotels a lot in Manchester but if you book any chain hotel thats central it should be ok. There's a Easy hotel in the northern quarter thats cheap but you have to pay for literally any other extras like turning the TV on.

Do not do what my Dad did when he went watch Flogging Molly on a Sunday once and booked a night in a room above The Millstone without asking me. He said it was an eye opener.
