Anyone else see that live stream of the Sydney Opera House gig this morning? Blew me away! Beyond me how anyone could find them a boring live prospect. Atmosphere looked amazing.

I was slightly taken aback by the size of the show and then I realised they were playing two nights. What a show it was too. Fantastic set and thrilling to watch, once again. Headlining the OS? I can see that now.

Watching that gig yesterday made me so excited for Manchester but really hope they add some of their own gigs in the UK too. I want a 2-hour set!

Still considering BST too. It says on the posters "full set" after The National. Anyone know what the heck that means?!

BUT they need dark or at least gloom.

it's what they need and it would work but i'd take sub for pixies at a pinch. in fact as i'm one of those no kim, no deal types, sack off pixies and give it to the national.

Can't get over how good the Sydney set was. Everyone is saying potential other headliner, but I'd be extremely happy if they subbed Arcade Fire. Though probably even more unlikely since they don't reach as wide an audience.

As long as they don't clash I'll be more than happy to have my two favourite bands on the lineup.

I really think you should persevere. It took me a while to get into, as did Push The Sky Away actually, but now I absolutely love it. Also sounds incredible live so definitely give them a go at Glastonbury (if they are there, which they will be).

I will persevere and I definitely would see them at glastonbury!

The ones that take longer to get into are always the ones you end up liking the most. High violet I liked immediately, but barely play now (I still like it, just rarely get the urge to play it)

I think it's all on YouTune and worth watching though. Fucking great gig. Deeply jealous of everyone that was there.
