No idea, just mentioned it before the music news about half 7ish this morning then after 8 he said he'll have news from The National. Absolute wild guess but I just want them to be there

Yeah I heard that and don't see why they'd speak to the drummer of The National since he never really interviews anyway. Just more curious to hear why he mentioned them later on.

ah ok so its not necessarily The Nationals drummer he's talking to and the festival news isn't necessarily The National, but there will still be news from the National later, festival related or not.

Yeah could well be. Haven't seen it yet and looking forward to it. Hope they show it at the festival on the weds/thurs, have fond memories of watching an Oasis doc at 3am when it was the big cinema field (it was lashing it down), and the Arcade fire thing in the cinema tent a few years ago.

For what it's worth, I'm a really big fan of The National, but I've seen Mistaken For Strangers twice now, and I wouldn't build it up too much, or expect it to blow your socks off. It's quite short, at just over an hour, doesn't give you much footage of the band per se, and is a nice, warming fairly decent music documentary that's more about Tom Berninger's journey than it is about the band. An enjoyable watch sure, but even as someone who likes to consume all their stuff pretty avidly, I'd give it a solid 7 on 10.
