People seem to think they're playing rock in Rio (Lisbon)

Just found this on the NME website regarding the possibility of the stones playing. They said shows in May, June and July. And seen as Optimus is the biggest festival in Portugal we have a shot i reckon.

Speaking about the latest bookings, frontman Mick Jagger said: "I can't wait for the tour to hit Europe. It's a great time of the year to be playing and the tour is a good mix of festivals, stadiums and arenas. See you there!"

Don't forget Rock In Rio in Lisbon... I think that if The Stones hit Portugal will be there.

Flying to Lisbon on 9th, staying until the 16th then flying over to Barcelona for Beni!

Think it's bigger, but more individual events (hence better for Stones stage wise - and probably money wise)

Tend to have a decent amount (and variance) of acts on too.

Rock In Rio is the biggest festival in Portugal by far. We're talking about 350 000 people in each edition.

Stones are booked for RiR. Announcement this week, possibly today.

Don't think they say anything important really, seems more of a customer service. Any lineup announcements are accompanied with a picture as well.

Would like to see Damon Albarn added. His show at SXSW sounded amazing

And not sure if it's been suggested before, but what about Arcade Fire as last headliner? They seem to be in Europe a few weeks before
