I saw Interpol live for first time 2 years ago and was quite disappointed. Not sure what it was, crowd was pretty poor in Bristol but the show never really got going. Still one of my favourite bands though, and the first 2 albums are incredible

I think the last thing you can call Placebo is shit! I'd be much more happier to get Placebo than someone like KOL or the Killers!

Unless they're just saying that and are working on someone big (ie. Stones) who take longer? I'd say they could get someone like Placebo to headline on short notice, and wouldn't take much 'working on'

I know this isn't a placebo discussion forum but i just find them whiney and just well... shit. They will have a decent budget left because although AM will have cost a pretty penny the other acts won't demand huge pay checks. I think someone like RHCP or another act could still be on the cards and the kinks may be been ironed out. Lets just hope it isn't Coldplay

RHCP peppers may not have arranged their Europe dates yet that would explain why they've not announced any other than their UK Exclusive appearance at IOW.

Just scouted out some festivals also in Europe yet to announce all their headliners, Hurricane festival and Open'er and then one in hungary called Volt i think. All 3 i think are viable options for RHCP as the countries have big fan bases there. The fact that these other major festivals haven't announced makes me think we are all waiting for the same big act. And i don't think it is the rolling stones because those festivals aren't their sort of thing.

Interpol were good at nme tour last night, temples very average. royal blood however were immense seriously good even better than I thought they would be the drummer is unreal!
