Last night I dreamt RHCP announced via their instagram that they're headlining some Norwegian festival on the 19th July..

The interesting thing about RHCP is they've only announced 4 dates so far for this year... 3 South America and IOW. what confuses me is, they must have been booked to play other dates, why aren't they announcing? I'm trying to think why they could announce IOW but no others and I can't think of a valid reason...

Also, as I can't sleep- I thought I'd do a bit of research:

30stm (in Russia)

Outkast (In Switzerland, 10-12th can't figure our what day they're headlining)

Macklemore ( headlining a few tests in EU, is free on the 12th July... but same as Outkast,unsure what day they're headlining in Switzerland)

Qotsa (playing rock in Rio)

Paramore (in US)

Placebo (only available to play on the tenth in russia on the 7th and Belgium 11th/12th)

Faith no more (only have one date announced and this isn't billed as an exclusive... so they must be announcing more soon)

Snoop Dogg (not got anything announced from the 14th June to 27th July... not sure what to think of that.)

Guns n Roses (touring the us up to June... Europe afterwards?

Foo Fighters (new album out next year, only announced one date so far so they are active... firefly fest 20/6... could pop over to Europe afterwards)

Deadmau5 (seems to be doing the late Eu fest dates... but we shall see. Only announced dates in August so far)

Major Blazer (In Europe as of the 3rd of July...only announced for werchterand bestival so far. I'd say these were cock on to play)

Pixies (Playing Primavera sound)

Netsky (in Spain on the 8th, it'd make sense for him to pop over. Really likely.)

Nero(In Belgium on the 8th then he's free! We might get Nero.)

YM@6(unlikely because of their dates... small chance they could play on the 12th.)

BMTH(Seem to be playing everywhere! Whether they fit in with the overall genre or not! They're free)

Birdy(Tour dates suggest she's likely...)

London Grammar(in France 10/11th and Scotland on the 13th...)

Ellie Goulding (In Ireland on the tenth, nothing then until Benacassim)

Pharell (again, very unlikely according to tour dates)

Earl Sweatshirt (playing Wireless in the UK, the off the Switzerland but then free...)

Lana Del Rey (in Spain on the 5th... then nothing till the 17th.moment shed be a great addition)

Kaiser Chiefs (nothing from the 5th to the 13th... but both them dates are in the UK... Still in with a chance)

Franz Ferdinand (Playing BBK and T in the park. BBK on the 12th/ T on the 13th.)

I could keep going but I'll stop for now. I'll do some more tomorrow if you guys wants, feel free to add your own.

I've not looked who played last year and I haven't really looked at other Portuguese festivals.
