Although did just notice that Pet Shop Boys have been announced as the opening night headliner for Exit that weekend...

but they are playing LMT Summer sound on the 12th

If nothing else, all this researching who is playing where is at least giving me more scope for where to go next year instead of Portugal!!!

Never been to Glasto/Reading, but it seemed to be easy to get good spots for headliners, theres a long barrier at the front (similar to other festivals so i've heard) but the key (I thought) was to get to that, then move along towards the centre of the stage, as people (for some reason) decided to sit down there (before the bands came on), so there was a lot more room than it first seemed, and people weren't tending to go there, hence you got a great spot.

Thanks a lot, that's pretty much what happens to Glasto too. In order to get to that sweet spot you reckon getting there while the sub-headliners are on or even earlier ? (for AM/Keys)

if someone has any doubt about things in Lisbon, i can try to help out...

can't say just 5: AM, BK, Interpol, Chromeo, Temples, UMO, Caribou, Nicolas Jaar, Nina Kravis, Jamie xx, Chet Faker and A-Trak.

3 portuguese acts you should see in my opinion: PAUS (they've been in several european fests including last years Primavera), Vicious Five (unexpected reunion) and Sequin.

Yeah, maybe even the end of the subs would do..by barrier I meant that there's obviously the one in front of stage, but then there's a T shape one running from centre of stage into the crowd, on which the cameras are for the TV. The key is to get to the end of that (ie beside a cameraman) then move inwards and get beside the long bit of the T barrier (if that makes sense)..
