Improvements for 2014

Well I know the general feeling on this forum is that the line up would be the biggest improvement majority want for next years fest but what other improvements would you all like to see?

A few I'd like to see are:

• Private coaches/mini buses being allowed to drop off closer again like years ago. The past few years the walk of death has been extended. Seems like we are being put further and further back because we aren't using Citylink, which is fair enough but I think how far away the drop off has become is a bit of a piss take now.
• Be Chilled - A few more Be chilled collection points around the campsite. There is no doubt the service has improved over the years but I still think it could be improved by having at least one other collection point somewhere else within the camp site.
• Entertainment - More camp site entertainment after the headline acts have finished. Last year there was a noticeable improvement on this.
• Searches - This year the security guards were very OTT in their searching techniques and meant large que's formed waiting to get into the arena. I understand they have to carry out searches but every time this year I got a full pat down, told to spin around, remove my hat and got my wallet searched. With such large crowds it just doesn't seem to work.

Feel free to add in your own. Be good to see what other people think could be improved and you never know, someone, somewhere might be paying attention.

I use Citylink so not really a problem for me but I have seen where the private coaches have to drop and it does seem quite a trek, got my Be Chilled quite easily this year but saw some of the queues so I agree with this

Entertainment is a must, however like you said this year was pretty good with arcadia afterburner, slam tent and the lucozade thing, not expecting much more than that really but keeping the same amount is a must

Searches were weird sometimes I got a right thorough search then other times it was just in you go, I don't mind thorough searches if it limits glass bottles and flares which are genuine hazards

Only other thing I would add would be more water points in campsite especially after this year

They could use the Slam tent for that or the cabaret tent or whatever its called, that would actually be pretty good

The fairground ride music needs to be turned down, it was very annoying hearing it blasted out so loudly.

Another thing I should have mentioned which was a massive bonus this year was the fact they didn't ask for tickets getting in and out of the arena.

Hopefully that continues into next year aswell.

The main improvement would be to change the music direction back to a balance of rock, indie and dance and leave the manufactured pop out. The festival was 2nd best in UK behind Glastonbury a few years ago but now chases the acts that V Fest goes for.

Booked myself tickets for Arcade Fire at Earls Court in June plus Field Day festivsl next day with Pixies. I can't wait around forever for T to announce some bands while all their competitors have been doing so for months. I have no faith that 2014s T lineup will be any better than the past two years.

Thought afterburner was an excellent addition, replacing lucozade thing with bacardi tent would be ideal although i do like getting free lucozade over the course of the weekend

Yeah I`d keep the afterburner or, even better, replace it with their big spider beast thing that they take to Glastonbury and I think a few others.

Plus GET THE VOLUME TURNED DOWN ON THE RIDES IN THE MAIN ARENA. Or get them removed altogether.

Thing I found with the Afterburner was it was just a little too close to the Slam Tent which caused a slight cross-over with music, suppose there wasn't really anywhere else they could've put it without taking it out of the Sunset Strip.

Thought the slam tent at night was a bit wasted, would be awesome with a couple of high profile djs or tribute acts, went in a couple of times on thurs and sat and both times were only half full with not as good an atmosphere as possible

Impossible task is required to improve it imho.

Get rid of the idiots, gadgies and growlers and were sorted.

Again not really a problem i've encountered in my time at T, never ran into any idiots or had a problem with anyone, I know the problem is there since so many have complained about it so less is always good

Yeh there are a few idiots there but you can get that anywhere you go
