Personally i think tuts is the best stage, atmosphere is superb i would rather play there if i was rudimental/disclosure

Disclosure was rammed to the heavens. Don't know how bad it was for Rudimental as I was amongst it, but it did seem to be the same. They'll put them outdoors to a bigger crowd this time out.

I love Tuts. Even between bands the atmosphere is fun thanks to some top class DJing.

Damon Albarn playing Rock Werchter. Could be at T. No idea how much of a draw his solo stuff would be, but I'm guessing something like high Tuts or Transmissions headliner?

BBC events dont really hold much to 'exclusives'. He would be a King Tuts headliner on name along imo, another possible King Tuts headliner... The National announced a gig at Usher hall on the 10th July

That's as good as a confirmation I'd say, which is absolutely wonderful.

I would say that counts The National out surely? Having a gig in Scotland the day before T is just going to lessen ticket sales for both events.

Bands sometimes do warmups for shows though on the midweek before the festivals. See it every summer. It's not exactly a massive gig.

Quite. They have Edinburgh, then BST, and then an Irish tour. With the Friday and Sunday both free on the weekend.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me for them to play in Edinburgh on Thursday, London on Saturday, all the way back to Scotland on Sunday, then down to Cork (Which is pretty much as far south as Cardiff and Bristol) for Monday. And I can't really see them playing Edinburgh Thursday and TITP Friday for some reason.

I think the Edinburgh date is in place of playing at T, rather than warming up for it.

I could see them going from Edinburgh to Cork though, and T isn't exactly far from Edinburgh.

But the thing is they have to travel up from London to get to here. Then go nearly all the way back down and across a sea. All that in 3 days is asking a lot when they played in Scotland a couple of days before, and it's probably quicker and easier to go from London to Cork rather than Edinburgh/Glasgow.

People do the same going to mainland Europe sometimes. Blink 182 did it on their comeback when they played the R+L, off to France and back up. It's not out of the question.

Haha I can't see either of us conceding any time soon DomDom, let's just agree to disagree until the Feb announcement. I will be more than happy to acknowledge I was wrong should The National play T.
