Prince, Metallica and Outkast confirmed for Glastonbury 2014 Festival today?

Does it rule them out or make them more/less likely? The two festivals aren't far apart (a few european dates in between) - Glastonbury for the coverage, wireless for the money? Or is three major fest dates in england too many?

Outkast are playing only two UK festivals - Wireless and Bestival - so that proves this story was a crock of sh*t

interesting also that a couple of people over on the Bestival forum seem to think that Prince is a possibility. hadn't thought of it as i was so blinded by him playing Glastonbury, but would Bestival have the money to throw at him / not the reputation of 'using his name to sell tickets'?

Definite Bestival headliner (fits the majority age demographic) but was unsure if they had the hype to headline Glastonbury, seeing as the younger crowd would be unaware of Outkasts previous output & status.

Personally I think they could & would have put on a good evening show that would look great on TV & have had enough popular hits.

They are American hip hop act, they might be unaware of Glastonbury's legendary status & it being the pinnaccle.

Not looked at their other announced dates but a London gig would allow them an easier time doing the European festival circuit.

Money & a headlining spot to probably a similar sized crowd they'd get at Glastonbury.

they probably had done, but it's was a fair bit smaller than Bestival I think.

Prince's prices might be at the top end of what Bestival might pay, but I don't think it would be beyond what they'd stretch to if they had the opportunity to get him.

That would be two huge and expensive bookings but not completely unthinkable if they counteract it with someone like foals. (With their name seeming to be knocking about a bit)
