Prince, Metallica and Outkast confirmed for Glastonbury 2014 Festival today?

Personally just means if it is either, Metallica,eagles or prince on Saturday night. I will be at west holts with out doubt sorry but not a single one of them inspire me one bit.

I am not in any way a Metallica fan, and nor is anyone I know, but we'd go see them out of curiosity. Can't say the same about the Eagles. Metallica would have a certain novelty factor for many I would say.

I take the point how they'd be MOR for fans of their genre but they'd be anything but in this context.

Yeah, someone mentioned it three pages ago.

And Soni didn't mention an exclusivity clause, they just said it was their only UK show this year (so they could have been mistaken/misled, or they could have been referring to the 'By Request' thing).

The context I waa describing them in was a general one. Even when considering Glastonbury, there obviously on the heavier end of the spectrum, but definitely more central, considering there's been heavier in past years.

Glastonbury is pretty MOR so as safe and middling in the rock/metal world as Metallica are they'll be something out of the ordinary. Heavier bands may have played but not on such a scale, so it would be the event as well as the music that would create something different.

It's understandable mate. This time of year when news is slow it brings out the worse in all of us round these parts. Just look at those prince arguments - and Neil probably has more news than us lot.

Will maybe attend the meet up this year. I tend lo try and keep my real world separate from the virtual one - no annoying typos in the real world for a start - but I'll see what I can do.
