Who knows? But I could see both fitting in

Hellfest has Soundgarden, Deep Purple and Megadeth (the only headliner not on an exclusive at BOA) plus Motorhead are doing a different French festival the week after Sonisphere. Bullet are as yet unspoken for and also there was that Weezer thing a few months back but they don't seem to be doing anything outside of the States yet.

Those are all pretty big names though.

Surely Soni have a got a good chunk of bands who are at Hellfest. If they have booked one of, if not both of Soundgarden and Deep Purple that would be huge.

Decent announcement by Sonisphere. Alice in Chains subbing seems a little weak size wise but they are awesome enough to pull it off. Dropkicks will be fun. Same with Bizkit. Anthrax have to play Sonisphere or else it just isn't Sonisphere. Plus they are great live. Sisters of Mercy are awesome. I've been desperate to see Devin Townsend Project for ages. Rest I don't really care about.

Coupled with earlier amazing announcements this is looking great.
