I once got a lift off someone I only slightly knew (friend of a friend going to the same party) and she played Bedshaped by Keane on repeat for the entire fucking journey. 50 fucking minutes of Bedshaped on repeat.

Actually, with that memory, we can add Keane to the list of bands I can't stand. Normally they'd just bore and irritate me, but that memory makes me want to punch things when I hear them.

That reminds me of a question I was gonna ask. Probably moreso with a digital collection but do people delete/throw out albums that they could never see themselves wanting to listen to again? Going off topic but fuck it. I've been umming and ahhing over the fate of the likes of Hard Fi and The Zutons.

Yes. I've thrown out a fair whack of albums, some ones that come to mind:

Snow Patrol - Run

RHCP - Stadium Arcadium, Out in LA

Green Day - Nimrod, Warning (gifts)

Nickelback - one of their earlier pieces of shite (gift)

The Kooks - whatever their shitty debut was called

I'm trying to think what other crap I once owned. Never bought my own copy of The Resistance otherwise that would have been binned.

There's a fair few things I've deleted from my digital collection, although that tends more to be songs I truly hate on albums I like (about 1/3 of Lullabies to Paralyze being the best example). HD space isn't really an issue.

I've not thrown out my Zutons album. Very occasionally I get the urge to play them again, then get bored after a couple of tracks and remember why I rarely bother.
