BBC 6 is also involved in Latitude, isn't it?

I'm not sure what the correct term is but yes the BBC 'work with' Latitude as they do with the likes of Glasto, R&L and T. The demographic for 6music and Latitude (and the image and ethos they like to promote) are pretty similar so it would benefit both the festival and the BBC if they pair it up with 6music for cross-promotional purposes, in the same way that teaming up R&L with 6music wouldn't be productive (even though I see Steve Lamacq there every year )

Laughable really as it's arguable whether Latitude is major, and no major festival would really give him a headline slot so he could easily just not headline the rest.
