The Beatles were a hype band and they were pretty shit.

If you read my post, it says there has always been hype bands but a lot less in the past. When The Beatles were getting number one's and getting so much praise, there were plenty of other great artists who were making awesome music; Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and even the Stones to name but a few.

Not as edgy as people who slag off Holy Fire, though

The Album was pretty piss though Matt. :P

Pretty good. I reckon I'd go on the Friday (Reading). Placings also seem pretty spot on. Nicely done Will.

I know, I was joking.

It was the second best album anyone released last year.

Reflektor's got a lot of filler, and I haven't felt inclined to listen to it at all since the week it came out. Even the title track, which I loved at first, bores me now.

I'd disagree. I think it's an album for fans of the softer side of Arcade Fire. The second half of the album is flawless (apart from the one filler song, Here comes the night time part 2).

In fairness they became cool among the type of people I can't stand, so that wasn't really a factor for me. I was never really a fan until hearing Holy Fire.

You're obviously a fan of the music but you must admit there are an awful lot of people who jump on the Foals bandwagon as they seem like a cool rock band.

Yeah, definitely. As I said, it's mainly the kind of people I can't stand. The cool kids at college, with their w*nk quiffs, and their chinos, and their snapbacks, and their bitches, and that shit. Pricks.

I always took you as a guy who had multiple bitches though Will? ;)
