Yoghurt on a Stick
Bought my tickets about an hour ago. Will be going to this festival for the first time this year. It will be the last fandango of my honeymoon.
grumpyhack
I went last year and really enjoyed it. Good try out of equipment before serious festivalling starts. Dead posh toilets too in the racecourse main stand block.

grumpyhack
Hopefully, but it's a matter of getting a decision out of the rest of the gang, which can be somewhat akin to herding cats. In the end I'll probably go - even if it's solo. But I've now got a rather large, heavy caravan that might be a bugger on my own.

grumpyhack
I'll be going in my campervan - along with my then to be wife. I might come and say hello. Any distinguishing features when you camp, such as a flag or something?
Yoghurt on a Stick
My caravan is a Coachman Amara 520/4. If I go solo I probably won't put the awning up. But there will be a daffodil windsock and a 'Grumpyhack lives here' sign in the window. Plenty of chilled beers and other things so do call round. Yoghurt on a Stick
Just thought I'd post a photo of my camper van for you grumpy. You can't miss it - yes those are ravers with their hands in the air alongside shooting lazer beams on the side of the van; ·
grumpyhack
Very impressive paint job Yog. Did you do it yourself? Also is it an original campervan or a conversion. And again was it D-I-Y?

ian the worm
More like the first one. With yellow guy ropes. Kind of round shaped. I'll look out for your van. And I spent all last year looking oddly at men that look like Grumpys avatar. Must be easier just to swap numbers the week beforehand. grumpyhack
Finally booked my ticket today. I got fed up waiting for the rest of the gang to make their minds up so decided to go for it - even if I'm solo. Could be a nice EFests gathering as it's also one of Neil's festivals (me thinks he and Mrs Neil first met there or certainly have a romantic attachment to the fest). Yoghurt on a Stick
I can't recall hearing a single thing they have done. I probably have but just don't know that I have.
grumpyhack
They seem to attract an audience of white kids with dreadlocks, Doc Martins and tattoos and get them all jumping around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mVvMopn2os They also run their own festival Beautiful Days in Devon which allows campervans but not caravans. Emandjay
Grumpy beat me to posting the YouTube link.
Yoghurt on a Stick
That is a shame. I like absolutely everything about them from those clips (I watched each of them to be fair) except the lead singers voice. However, I now realise that I simply must see them at Wychwood to be sure. Thank you both for the education.

grumpyhack
Just been informed by Drewstrat that my two favourite festival food outlets will be there. La Grande Bouffe (found just inside the West Holts field on the left at Glasto) who do the magnificent Tartiflette and Just Desserts - a superb range of puddings and munchies to die for.
