Rising ticket prices

Hi guys, I put this in the glasto forum and could do with a few other responses from other festival attendees if you wouldn't mind -

Rising ticket prices have been vastly unavoidable for festivals since, well what seems like forever. As part of my dissertation i'm looking to explore further into consumers views on them including cause and effect factors and the variance on purchasing decisions. I'm also looking at views on solutions to the problem and what organisers are doing well (and not so well) in order to combat them. I'm hoping to achieve a clearer view on these factors and i'm also looking to see differences in views from a number of different backgrounds of festival attendees. It's a topic of interest to me as every year there's the same doom and gloom stories of the ill-effects of rising ticket prices without much substantial evidence, often jumping to the first conclusions.

Just that bit about festival ticket price rises being vastly unavoidable. I know that's what your survey is about but of course rises have been unavoidable. Cinema tickets, gig tickets, sporting evets, they've all gone up. Just seemed oddly out of place given the mature and commendable attitude the rest of the post and the survey took, especially the comments at the end about people jumping to conculusions and doom-mongering. Probably just me being in a funny mood last night though

This is rare, someone who has actually used the forum before is asking for people being to do a survey.
