I hope that Mark Ronson that gets a decent slot as he is said to put on a amazing show. I was thinking and here are my shoe ins for next year. Ella Henderson, paloma Faith, Emeli sande, jessie ware, The 1975, one republic, plus from the jungle titchy strider and nadie forde. It will be interesting to see how many I get right.

I can definitely see Ella, Paloma, 1975, Sam Smith, Emeli Sande, Mark Ronson and Example there.

I also imagine Rixton, Calvin Harris, Jessie J and depending on tour dates The Vamps all being there.

Id guess at either Calvin, Guetta or Avicii as the second stage headliner, and maybe Florence somewhere high/headline. Sam Smith may do what Tom Odell did the last 2 years and go from second to main stage. Would like to think V would try pull something out this year, but I probably wont be going unless I get a cheap ticket under face value nearer the time

This year seems to have been harder than last, but I could afford to go to V I just don't think I will be going. Who else on here is thinking of going to V regardless of line up?

I am going this year regardless of the line up. Going to be my last year at festivals so going to give V my send off.

Anybody got any idea of when the lineup will be announced? They announced the bulk of it with all three headliners last year around christmas/January didn't they? (or my memory's playing up)

So are they are big American pop stars/bands etc that have announced some shows in the UK or Europe around the time of v festival for this year? I can not find any yet

At this stage I'd go Bruno Mars and Florence and the Machine but honestly no idea.

Get the feeling they don't have anything big after that panicky 'here's another chance to get your tickets for next year's festival at this year's prices despite the fact we already said that you'd already had your one and only chance for that' thing they did before Christmas.

I'm hoping it'll be big cause of it being their 20th anniversary. I can hope.

They already went with a 'big birthday' thing for their 18th last year so doing it again for their 20th would seem a bit cheap. Although when did V ever care about seeming cheap.

I have two names of American pop stars that are playing in Europe near the time of v. They are John legend (surname of legend he has to be good right but no!) And the other is frank ocean and both will have new albums out.

I think V would still aim higher than them. Bruno and Flo are probably the lowest V would go as they arent established headliners yet, where as when Kings of Leon are announced *sigh* they are more established. I could almost see V going for Katy Perry or Kanye, id like to see them go for Coldplay or Mumfords but I wont try get anyones hopes up haha

John Legend wouldn't be any higher than 3rd/4th down on main, surely? Frank Ocean wouldn't headline either but could probably pull off an MTV Stage headline slot if his new album does well. He was 3rd down at T in 2013.

Kasabian are a shout now they're apparantly unlikely for Reading, I guess An act of revenge upon R&L for them nabbing the Arctics in the only summer they were properly touring AM or something

Yeah Kasabian seem likely now they've apparently been ruled out for IOW. I was expecting Mumford & Sons but not sure they'd go with both of them, maybe a pop headliner rather than Mumfords.

1. Why are Kasabian only now unlikely for R&L? They were never likely.

2. How would it be an act of revenge? I highly doubt R&L would want to book Kasabian this year.

Well they were down as a rumour - still are - so there's clearly at least a possibility that Reading might have been looking to book them They're a solid ticket-seller which is exactly what V need at the moment and something that from the sounds of it Leeds wouldn't turn their nose up at either
