Matt42
If anything, kasabian and calvin were who I was expecting... "The only festival the Americans are interested in is glastonbury"... Hmm
The Placid Casual
At least the Killers love V
5co77ie
I just found it in the sun anyway. Very interesting. Love the line "Amercians give V Festival a break this summer"More realistically the USA now has a massive festival market with global sponsors that pays bigger bucks to tour over there in the summer than the UK/Europeasn events do, with only Glastonbury having international prestige. The Placid Casual
I thought R&L was still highly thought of in the states, or am I wrong there?

DomDom1984
Guesswork. Not sure you'll see Ellie Goulding there or James. The rest... likely. The Script as a second stage headliner coming off another big arena tour doesn't seem likely either.

Plus interested to see which a list celeb he will get to introduce him on stage last year as will Smith introduced him at T

Matt42
Fair enough. Thought she might take some time off. She's apparently told fans she's penning her 3rd album to come late 2015, would be fitting for her to play shows at the end of the summer. JSmurphy
The libertines? They would be well worth a watch. They're the last R&L headliner so won't play V this year.
markqpr2000
They're the last R&L headliner so won't play V this year. Is that confirmed? I know they headlining T in the park.
JSmurphy
It isn't confirmed officially but it's pretty much a lock. Numerous reliable sources have suggested it's The Libertines + if you look at the efestivals rumours page for R&L they're listed as 'TBC', which almost* guarantees they'll play. *there have been a few times when an act which is to be confirmed hasn't been announced, but on majority it's reliable. I have to say I'm surprised R&L took a stab at Mumfords before V, only recently started listening to their stuff but I feel like they would have been a cracking V headliner. benus80
Almost certainly not. Almost certainly nobody. I think your are probably right on two counts as one of his early songs chorus goes " I will give hugs to you if your were born in the 80s" this is V they will be only a handful of people in the crowd and me who were actually born in the 80s. Also it probably be a towie star who will introduce him!

clare2808
Hi all, Apologies in advance if strictly speaking I'm on the the wrong thread, but thinking of going to V for the first time. Been to Glasto twice before and loved it. Am I too old at 42? Will have my 15 year old daughter with me? All ages go to Glasto but I've heard V does tend to be young, so can anyone give me some advice? Thanks,

I saw the Human League and Blondie last year.
Toon Army
I'm 55 and the wife's 53 and we love it, will be with our 20 year old daughter and her two mates. Something for everyone. We do stay in a hotel though, so can't comment on the campsites. There are loads of older folks there, you'll love it

Thanks, Agree with the others, yep there will be plenty of younger people and some will be twats but generally most people are fine, happy and all trying to enjoy themselves. However, the arseholes do come out in the campsite so if u like your sleep and can stay somewhere else, I probably would
