Rose-Colored Boy

Recommended Posts

For what its worth here's my guess on some of the line up:

Calvin/Kasabian as rumoured

Faithless are now doing the rounds so I'm gonna put them down as a certainty (I hope)

Pharell

Prodigy

NGHFB

Ben Howard

Sam Smith

NGHFB are headlining T so 99% won't be there unless one of Calvin/Kasabian aren't. Ben Howard may not be free, depends what day he's playing Lowlands. Rest seem pretty possible though.

Not a UK exclusive though and neither is the appearance at Calling.

Same applies for Royal Blood.

I didn't claim to the contrary, but if he's headlining T he ain't playing V unless one of one of the headline spots isn't taken by Kasabian/Calvin like we believe they are.

Royal Blood are a UK summer festival exclusive at Reading and wouldn't play both V and Reading in the same year even if they weren't.

I am a bit gutted that it is looking 99% likely that noel will not be at V, so hope and prayer for another nice surprise on the line up. But one good think Courteeners, charlatans, chvches, hot chip and madness have all not been announced for reading so hope at least one of them is there!

It was actually mentioned that it was a Calvin/Bruno co headliner, so if Bruno is actually out of the running (not sure why he is) then no reason why NGHFB couldn't be a co headliner

At least if it is NGHFB you can close your eyes and pretend you're at an Oasis concert, if you wanted... Especially when he closes his set with "don't look back in Anger"

Or even better, you could go sit iin your tent, pull out a razor blade, make tiny cuts on your eyelids and then squeeze a fresh lemon into the cuts.

So by the looks of it, the ticket prices haven't changed this year..unless that needs updating;

if anything they should be dropping them to get people through the gates after last year's disaster.

Bit w*nk for the people who gambled in the "last chance to book next year at this year's prices" sales.

Yeah I reckon Noel is still on - T is still mainly dominated by guitar based acts, while V is very much pop now. In fact, the audience is caters for now him headlining the second stage shouldnt be out the question - his crowd was well small last time

I went the Stafford venue when Noel was on and his crowd was one of the biggest of the weekend. It dwarfed the Roses crowd.

You are right Noel was so good at Weston and the highlight of ny whole weekend, I remember he saying to the crowd before the started that he was going to be our highlight of the weekend and he was. It was magical

Oh he was definitely my highlight, but a noticeable number of people left after example to go to the second stage and it was so easy to get very close for Noel, and then go and get drinks and get back to where we were for roses.

He'll be 100% my highlight of this year's too if he plays. I can't wait for a week on Monday at the manchester arena too!

Plus his performance of the ballad of the mighty I on graham norton last night was incredible

To be honest I thought it looked pretty packed and we were stood some way back as well. Got much closer for the roses
