How many dates did they do in Australia last time? Because they're in the middle of a six date Aussie tour at the minute, after doing two dates in New Zealand.

Oh right, yeah I've been stupid then, didn't realize we're already in march, and was just looking at their tour section on their website, and obviously they've taken down dates that have already been....Maybe they're going to do an arena tour at the end of the year then :pardon: Just seems strange with a 5 date stadium tour, ontop of Glastonbury, surely anybody who wants to go see them will be able to?

Very good explanation. But from the perspective of a 18 year old indie rock fan who dreams of the line ups all the major festivals had in the 2000s, it is nothing but depressing.

The festivals bubble has burst, inevitably they will push new bands/singers/dj's as they have no choice and this will do one of two things. Lead to a permanent decline or slow but surely encourage a revival

It's a good point, but many of the bands that played in the late 90's early 00's didn't hold the status/acclaim as they do today - I'm exactly the same, but I do think nostalgia plays a big part in it too. Different times I suppose, less hype.

An example would be a gig I went to in 1993. Rage Against The Machine with Tool as the support act. All the 20-somethng metal heads at work lose their mind when I talk about that gig, but at the time Tool were just another band. Wool were the 3rd band on the bill, don't think they amounted to anything.

Certainly last year both day and weekend tickets for Weston park were available via the official outlets, up to and including, the Friday before the festival.

As I live close by there were also people selling tickets they didn't need/want way below cost price so well worth waiting. Also there will probably be lots of competitions to win free tickets and generate publicity for the festival so keep a look out for them too

Even in years when festival sold out, was never any problem getting tickets from people selling near the site

V used to have FOUR stages of live acts and TWO dance tents.

The bullshit they are putting out saying their first dance tent, utter tripe.

So now instead of 4 stages and 2 dance tents

V now has 3 stages and 1 dance tent. Oh and the comedy stage.

Poor show, yet the prices go up instead of down, how much are V day tickets with Readings being £59?

EDIT my fuck they're a half more! £89!

Both have booking fees added on top as well. Thats a disgrace as they are essentially the same company.

I can not believe they have replace the futures tent with a dance tent, this is very poor it should have been as well instead of replace. That was V,s alternative side I have seen many amazing acts which are not necessarily main stream artists over the years. Last year I saw James bay, chole howl, howling bells and embrace all amazing. So another reason not to go this year.
