Not sold out, why?

I would also add its reputation. I know many people put off by the crowd it seems to attract. Last years V facebook page was filled with stories of the place being full of arsehats starting fights, pissing where they stood, and generally being there just to get fucked and sod everyone else if they got in the way and was getting worse with each passing year.

I would hope no one is put off by bollocks like that, it's completely untrue

Many are - everyone i told i was going were just like "why on earth would you want to go anywhere near that place - full of dickheads".

Remember that certain stuff affects different people differently - i can easily take someone pushing past in the crowd or throwing a drink, but for others with lower tolerance it'll affect them for ages.

The people were so much better this year compare to two years ago when I get piss throw on me three yes three times and saw a fight as well! The only bad thing was someone being sick when the chiefs were on but apart from that nothing and I found people friendly and managed to have a chat with them.

Well said daniel. I could not agree with you more as people moan about the atmosphere at v festival, I am a bit thick? but it is not the v festival organizers fault as you can do anything about but encourage people which they did by saying bring the vibe! Rant over

Didn't see any bad vibes from festival goers myself, go looking for trouble you will certainly find it.

My only concern was the amount of police there, if there is something that will give it a bad vibe it's that.

Had a decent time at V , I wouldn't bother if it wasn't local but it was a nice couple of days out.

Different year but same question I guess

Its fairly obvious, isn't it? It hasn't sold out because Kasabian and Calvin Harris are headlining and Sam Smith is subbing. One guy who's a Kasabian die-hard and V festival regular - an ideal combination you'd think - has been on saying even he can't be arsed.

Same answers I suppose, V was certainly the best festival in the midlands area but as it has slowly metamorphosed into a pop festival those festival goers have moved towards other festivals such as Leeds and Glastonbury etc, leaving V as an expensive pop festival with reduced interest in it.

It's a case of so long V, thanks for the memories.

I'm 5 minutes from Hylands and what once was an easy 2 day booze up with my mates is just so unappealing nowadays.

I don't want to slag it off too much because the lineup is probably some peoples wet dream but you just have to look at how it's changed over the years to see why less and less people are going.

I wouldn't pay a half of the ticket price for a weekend, I saw Calvin a couple of years ago at V and was smashed, I left half way through because I would have been better off going to a local club to listen to the same set.

Am I wrong in thinking that they did cheap tickets about 2 weeks before when it didn't sell out last year?

As I didn't get a Glasto ticket, me and my mate are thinking of doing the Kasabian day, but really don't fancy the £100 price tag for one day

Not officially. But obv the black market will.
