lightning1000
Blink are more of an up and coming act than qotsa
evilduck
I cannot wait for these, it's basically going to be my highlight of Reading. Let's see if they can outdo Glasto 11.
kaosmark2
Both. Hahaha, both very different albums. Lullabies is interesting and a lot of it is very underrated and the Self titled is very straightforward hard-'stoner'-rock. Both brilliant albums but if your trying to prepare for seeing QOTSA then get lullabies as they are far more likely to play songs from that. But my real advice, get both
Ed209
It switches around the first three albums but currently self titled is my favourite QOTSA album. Utterly raw and unrelenting. The final two minutes of Walking on the Sidewalks could go on for days and I'd keep listening to it.
Spud001
I've said a few times before, but I reckon Lullabies is an album of 2 halves, the first is fantastic, you've got the massive single in Little Sister and a few other fairly well known corkers like Burn the Witch and EKTYAI, but up to and including Someone's in the Wolf every track is fantastic, unfortunately, the rest of it is utterly dire. But other than wanting to emphasise how much I hate the last 7 tracks of Lullabies, I agree with this post.
rafflesia
What do you guys think of their setlist will be? I hope it's not just mainly ...Like Clockwork although it is a phenomenal album, too.
dentalplan
I think it'll be mainly LC but not as much as the recent tour, so maybe about 7 LC tracks.

Dark Star
If Paramore go on after QoTSA is that an inspired booking to ensure they get a bottling on a proportion never seen before?

kaosmark2
Totally agree with this actually, I can't even recall how songs like Broken Box sound.... Long Slow Goodbye is good though but you're right, that last half is poor. They really need to start playing EKTYI again
VCK
Paramore won't be bottled, no one will be bottled, it's 2014

dentalplan
Cheers for that. I was going to get both but they only had Lullabies left so I only got that (and Jimmy Eat World`s Damage as it was on special offer)
Spud001
I posted a prospective setlist in the 2014 Lineup thread a while ago, changed it a little but something like this would go down a treat and is similar to what they played on the UK Tour/at the moment: You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar...No One KnowsMy God is the SunFirst it GivethBurn the WitchThe Lost Art of Keeping a SecretI Sat By the OceanIf I Had a Tail...Like ClockworkKalopsiaLittle SisterSmooth SailingMake it Wit Chu I Appear Missing MexicolaSick, Sick, SickBetter Living Through ChemistryGo With the FlowThe Vampyre of Time and MemoryFeel Good Hit of the SummerA Song For the Dead Edited March 11, 2014 by Spud001

giantwagon
I'd happily take that. How long will they get? I assume them and Paramore get the same length slot?
dentalplan
About 90 minutes I should imagine. They don't tend to play festival slots longer than that, headline or not. Does anyone remember how long (in duration) their set was on the UK tour?
