Matt42
Bring up "friend talks again" but I was nicely surprised at the amount of people happy about Queens Of The Stone Age. All the "Guitar Music" people think it's one of the best bookings this year.
giantwagon
All of my friends say that it's a shit booking - but they've never listened to QOTSA. Brilliant. This is apart from one of my mates, who thinks it's a great booking, and is the only one who's listened to them and saw them on tour last year. Matt42
I'm so happy they are playing, I keep forgetting and then realising how great they are! After putting out one of my favourite albums of the year, They will be great closing the friday!

giantwagon
Talking to an AM fangirl about QOTSA today, she was saying how shit QOTSA are (having only listened to My God Is The Sun on radio 1 yesterday). I then told her that Alex Turner is on their latest album - immediately changed stance to 'maybe they aren't so bad if Alex likes them' and 'I bet the track that Alex is on is their best'. Sigh. Spud001
Yeah they were on for about 1hr 45 on their Arena tour And indeed I do know rawaudioinput
SOAD
Their sub slot in 2010 is one of my favourite festival slots of all time. Add to that they were even better on the arena tour I think this is going to be one of my favourite headline slots of all time. May even beat Arcade Fire... Not sure about beating Biffy. Tobieski
Monsters in the Parasol would also be most welcome. Really enjoyed that back in November.
giantwagon
God I hope they do THAT version of Better Living Through Chemistry
dentalplan
Perhaps. It might be like where Biffy played that song they do on tours and got no reaction so changed it. Especially as it's pre SFTD.
evilduck
No Monsters, I've seen that loads now and I want something else. They do need to play I Appear Missing though, I was at the Wembley night that didn't get it
Tobieski
You must've gone on the second date? Went on the Friday and they played it, the outro try include on it live is mesmerising, literally just stood their with my mouth wide open. evilduck
Yeh I went on the Saturday. Misfit Love and Better Living were nice, but I really wanted to see I Appear Missing.
kingcrawler
I would've thought that Better Living Through Chemistry would be one of the songs that gets dropped, as it seemed to go on for about 10 minutes on the tour.. It would be a shame if they didn't play it though, was probably the best song off the night at The Hydro last year.

Spud001
For anyone hoping for a warm up show, from the press-release Reading & Leeds Festivals are THE only place in the UK to see both of these bands in 2014!

TenInchToenaiIs
As my music collection was exclusively Guitar Hero when I was 13, I hope they play 3s and 7s. Full combod that on expert oh yeah.
