Crowd at vfest?

Hi guys, im going to vfest 2014 (Weston Park) and I was just wondering what that crowd is like? Are there more girls than guys? and is there much moshing? and are people genrally friendly in crowds and at the campsites?

Very little moshing, though obviously if you go and see the 'big names' or the ones with the rabid fan bases then you're highly likely to find yourself slightly too close for comfort with anyone standing in front of or behind you.

As for friendliness I'd say a 50/50 split. Last year we spent the whole of Sunday afternoon standing in front of the main stage next to this mum and daughter, who were lovely and just happy to be there, but then when my then-girlfriend was sick just before Beyonce we found it very difficult and slow to get her out of the crowd because people were really iffy and difficult about you getting in their way.

Probably best to go and find out for yourself, but I wouldn't be too worried. Unless you like your sleep.

To be honest I've never really noticed the split or men/women. I wouldn't say there is a lot of moshing, but I did find the crowd very much varied depending on the act you saw. So near the front for Rudimental was pretty hot (as you would expect). Basement Jaxx old school ravers, Paloma Faith chilled out sing along, etc. We had no trouble and as with most things in life 99% of people are good.

Been to a few V-Festivals now and the crowd are deffinately getting worse. More Chavy, More pissed, More rude, Younger.

Was stood by the mixing desk on Saturday and a couple of girls staggered out from the front, squatted down, had a piss and staggered back in.

If the lineup wasn't so good I wouldn't go. I'd do T in the park instead if it wasn't so far away.

As for moshpits etc. I'd order them Lattitude, IoW, V-Fest, Glasto, R&L, Download in order of roughness.
