G4S no longer have the security contract for TITP

Found out this morning, they have lost the contract.

They will still be there, but now only as a sub-contractor and Showsec are the main security provider and will be running the event security.

Interesting theory, doesn't quite work like that though

As the article mentions, they will still have a presence, albeit a lot smaller one and in the less prestigious roles.

Also the event planning & management will all be done now by Showsec.

Main thing is that G4S have lost a few contracts in Scotland recently, and this is a huge blow for them both financially and strategically in this territory.
