Something kicked off in our campsite in 2010, some local hooligans, clearly on there for the riots, were chanting Leeds football chants, somebody decided to be clever and shout something about Manchester United. The enraged Leeds thugs came buzzing all around the guy's camp, angry words were exchanged, security noticed the to-do and came over insisting that it was broken up. The ringleader of the Leeds neds clearly didn't want to leave without showing this man that he was in fact "scum" for supporting his local football team, so he neatly headbutted the United fan, right in the centre of his face, causing him to go flying and take out about three tents, his face spurting out blood, it was like a cartoon. Security saw this and came sprinting, Leeds crew scattered, most of them escaped, ringleader was taken down by a very smart flying rugby tackle from one of the leaner and more agile security men. As the rest of his crew were mainly lost, security set to work gleefully throwing their entire camp over the perimeter wall; tents, chairs, personal belongings, everything. Anything that wasn't quite built for short flight didn't make it over the wall and came splodging down in the piss mud.

Never got into a fight, but I was ready to. During SOAD last year some guy behind kept shoving into me for no reason, I let it slide thinking he was having a good time. Then he tried to start a Yaya/Kolo Toure chant. During Soldier Side Intro. I turned round and shouted NO as loud as I could in his face and gave him a proper death stare. He shut right up and walked off.

Moral of the story: Respect SOAD.

The hatred for Leeds is still there. I remember watching a Manchester derby at Old Trafford when Milner accidentally kicked the ball out of play and the crowd started jeering him and singing "we all hate Leeds scum." We don't play them as often as Liverpool and Man City do so of course we're not as much of a relevance but there's no love lost between either side.

Plus they have fans from all over, not just London.

Yeah, but it's 4th/5th/6th on the list. It's like us and Boro, it's a rivalry, but they care far more about it than we do, The Mackems and possibly Man U would be ahead. Even when City were in a different league they were more important to Man U fans than Leeds.

Yeah I know, I was just making the classic joke.

Some of their fans call us, Liverpool and Man City the "unholy trinity". And just the other night when we were 4-0 down at home to Reading I saw a fair few of their fans on twitter gloating about it. It's a bigger rivalry than you give credit for.

Guessing you're a Newcastle fan I take it? What's all this talk about big Michael Laudrup headed your way?

Alex ferguson had a dig at Leeds during the sports personality of the year so it does still exist. There was a lone mosher next to us at Deftones too. He seemed to be having the greatest time but I never saw any mud splashing. There were 2 guys doing mud slides too.

I never had a fight at a fest but then again there's not many would take me on anyway. I've had a few elbows in the ribs from concerned neighbours but always talk to them and calm them down. When they realise I'm not the thug I look like it's always ok. I can't actually remember seeing a fight at any festival but then again there's lots about them I forget :)

I'm an Arsenal supported and United are my most hated team. Moving from London to Lincoln as a kid to discover everyone at school was a United fan was irritating as hell. There's more Mancunians in Lincolnshire than there is in Manchester  Tonnes of Liverpool fans around here too.
