Toronto Jazz Festival, anyone been or going?

Has anyone ever been to the TD Toronto Jazz Festival? I'm thinking of going this year round to see Hiromi, Buika and Earth, Wind & Fire but wanted to get some 'reviews' of the festival prior to making the commitment and buying tickets/flying over from UK.

If we do decide to go (my girlfriend and I) then we'll likely take a week either side of the fest (19 Jun 2014 - 28 Jun 2014) to check out some other live concerts or gigs in the Downtown Toronto area. This would be the first time that either of us would have been to Ontario so if anyone's got any good recommendations for places to go I'd love to hear them!
