Duke Dumont was played because he is headlining the 1Xtra Live event in Glasgow the week before Big Weekend. I think Nelly Furtado and Kanye West were just played because of their 'Happy Monday' half hour.

If you look at the Radio 1 playlist for this week, it could give a few clues about who is still to be announced?

Foxes

You Me At Six

Bombay Bicycle Club

Clean Bandit

Lorde

Sam Smith

The Black Keys

The Horrors

Twin Atlantic

The only one there I would find surprising would be The Black Keys. But the rest will be playing if you ask me.

I do wonder how long some of these acts have been booked for. For example, is it possible that Katy Perry wasn't confirmed until quite late in the day? Hence why they had Kasabian booked for the Sunday night? One Direction seem like they've been booked for a while too, every single from their latest album has been A-listed by Radio 1 and they're not the sort of act who are easy to book.

Really? I don't recall 'plenty' of Glastonbury headliners playing R1BW's main stage, never mind playing R1BW's second stage, never mind playing R1BW's second stage in the same year on the same album tour :P The only two I can think to have headlined Glastonbury and played R1BW are Jay Z and Arctic Monkeys - Hova was in 2012, when everyone knows R1 were able to quadruple the event budget because it was part of the London 2012 festival thingy, and AM were unnanounced so more than likely a late 'they'll be on if they turn up but we can't risk having to bump somebody up at the last minute if they don't' type booking, different kettle of fish.

When you consider both previous times Kasabian played they were second down on the main stage, to have suddenly relegated them to the tent is quite something. And especially with Serge's ego - I'm sure they can't wait to been seen playing a stage lower than The Vamps and 1 Direction. I bet it's no coincidence they're the only one of the three headliners announced so far who hasn't given R1 a session or interview.

At least with the 1D booking you can kind of see how they've been relegated to opening because they're elsewhere in the evening, Kasabian's relegation is just odd.
