The special guests are on Saturday, and the opening slot that bands would need to play if they were to be at the very opposite end of the country by the evening is already taken on that day by 1D.

Besides which, McBusted haven't got any music to promote, what the hell would they be playing for?

It was in one of the papers last week that Cheryl Cole was going to launch her new single by performing it "at a major live music event" (as well as the Britain's Got Talent final). She could be the special guest (and not billed because her 'comeback' has not been officially announced yet and will likely only be performing one song?)

They closed off the access points to the INMWT stage for Macklemore when it got over-rammed last year, I'm sure they could do the same for Kasabian and Calvin Harris if they needed to. If they're going to schedule a Calvin Harris set before sunset-time I can't imagine it not being in the tent, having seen Calvin Harris live he'd be barely a third as effective without the light show, like most DJ's.

Am I the only one that thinks Calvin is more likely to appear on the Friday?

1- headlined last year so announcing him makes the lineup look weak.

2-At night time so no worries about production etc.

3-No problems about limiting numbers as only one stage and limited tickets.

4-Toured with Tiesto so production teams will be used to working together.

I think it was being speculated that he would appear on the Saturday because there is a 'Special Guest' billing on the lineup poster.

I do think that the Friday lineup is looking quite sparse though. Last year, they had quite a few big dance acts on the Friday (eg Calvin Harris, Rudimental, Chase and Status, Dizzee Rascal) as well as the Radio 1 DJs. I know that the Friday isn't lasting as long this year but I still think that 4 Radio 1 DJs and 2 'headliners' isn't enough time to fill a 5hr live dance event.

I think Calvin makes sense with the Greg James slip up and if DF are promoting The Big Weekend they will want to protect weekend ticket sales for T.

Logistically he could easily play Vegas on the Sunday. He'll probably have his own set up at Hakkasan too since he plays a residency so won't have the usual equipment & set up to ship over too.
