right as a local i feel obliged to take over the walking here there and everywhere questions

city centre black cabs are very cheap compared to other major cities, edinburgh, london, manchester etc so buzzing about the town is not bad.... lot of traffic and one way systems though so sometimes yer actually quicker walking

springfield quay to the green.... id guess there will be a shit ton of traffic around the green, its a straight road and a walk will take you 20 minutes

george square to glasgow green is not far at all, probably 15 minutes and theres bloody loads of pubs on the way should you get thirsty

for those in hotels, theres quite a few roll shops/vans that you'll get something for breakfast thats greasy and far more satisfying than hotel tripe for a couple of quid

With the names being in the tickets, how strict do we think they'll be in checking the correct person holds the ticket? Not trying to sell a ticket but I may not make it on Sunday and the tickets have my name on them but I'm going with my girlfriend and was thinking of giving the other ticket away to one of her friends. Basically, do they check the names on the tickets match the people going in? Can't see how that would be possible with only the buyers name on the ticket.

Don't think Calvin Harris will have any special guests. He didn't when he headlined last year, and all he's doing is pressing play. If anything, special guests would give him less options to mess around with the sound.

See the questions regarding names on tickets etc, i really dont see it being an issue. At 1 extra on saturday, i had 4 tickets, all with my name on them and gave them to my mates who had no problem gettin in.

The usual security measures were in place going in though, sniffer dogs and a brief search, so be extra carefull if your'e planning on sneaking anything in.

You think they'll be strict about folk having a few drinks before going in? I noticed that in the email they sent out to ticket holders for Friday night that security would be looking out for 'the consumption of alcohol'.

Nah, I think that just meant for the consumption of alcohol in the que or planning on bringing your own in.

I think there would only be about 500 left if they knocked back everyone who had drank before it

A little trick, if you want to sneak booze in clean out a few sun cream bottles and fill them up with booze. No one is gonna challenge you having a suncream bottle at a 'summer' festival

Usually we've filled the screw cap Capri suns with spirits then packed them down somewhere, inside leg of jeans etc, but now I'm thinking twice incase proper search and they feel it!! Maybe I'm just panicking?!
