Solid booking, but some of the hyperbole in here is hilarious. She does festivals all over the place all the time, and is already doing some this summer. It's hardly a "coup" or some amazing shock.

Lana and Kendrick is a great double bill. Probably won't be at either as I'll see Lana at Primavera and Kendrick at BST. I'm always quite keen to keep my time at the Pyramid to a minimum, although I'm definitely gonna be there for Paul McCartney.

She's a strong booking that we thought wasn't going to happen, its her only UK festival date. Pretty good get.

Don't really get this. I agree in as much as it's good to get around the site if the people you want to watch are performing elsewhere, and to bask in the size of the place and the various other stages, but the Pyramid is a brilliant stage. If the acts I want to see are on it, that's a bonus!

sure, but not her only european festival date. and she does festivals in the UK regularly, she headlined Latitude last summer, along with George Ezra and Snow Patrol. Strong booking yeah, that's about it. If it was someone who never does festivals, or wasn't already touring this summer, or someone genuinely massive, then maybe some of the reactions would be more understandable.

A friend of mine is a music journalist for OK Magazine.

During the press cycle for NFR someone pushed her or a rep for her team on whether she was doing a summer tour and the response was that she was playing a select and short run of EU festivals. It was said that she was playing a prominent slot on Glastonbury’s pyramid stage on the Friday.

It sounded a bit weird and oddly specific of a response at the time. Hence why it is “dodgy”.

emily said in NME Lana was one of the first bookings they sorted so it makes sense why this was out there as early as August 2019.
