Spindles
..or maybe his story arc will leave him wandering in the wilderness for a while, to return to westeros a changed man who has a greater bearing on later events. Tyrion can't die. Somehow I don't believe it could happen. Almost every major death has taken me by surprise (which is why I avoid spoilers like the plague and won't read the books ahead of the show) and GRrrrrrr Martin seems to prefer a massive twist to the obvious. GoT without Tyrion would be like toast without butter. I don't think that they'll turn Arya and the hound away from the Erie though, would be a bit odd for the guards to say sorry your aunt's dead, on your way, when her cousin and other relatives would be there. russycarps
I did think they will get turned away from the erie, but there is nowhere else for them to go to really so you are probably right. I have a bad feeling the hound will die, because now the mountain is dead (assuming he is dead anyway) his revenge story has disappeared I'll be gutted if he does die like, I love him
Spindles
Damn straight. The hound has had almost as many of the best lines as Tyrion. He is GoT's equivilent of Russy, if ever anything gets too serious he can be relied upon to turn up and call someone a c**t.

gary1979666
It would be such a crap end if the wound he has just slowly kills him too - he needs a big ending if he is going to go.
t8yman
I still think Arya will kill him, a sword through his eye. She no longer needs him to protect her.
ThomThomDrum
I hope Jorah just wanders off not to been seen again, but I doubt that will happen. I cant see him turning on Danny if he does love her the way he claims. Or will his unrequited love for her and subsequent ostracism be the catalyst for a vengeful rage? He must understand that what she did had to be done and he is lucky she spared him his life. If he weasels back to the Lanisters he would then be in my "I really hate you" group that I hope to see die a slow and horrid death at some point......... As for the Hound, its an interesting one. It may all depend on the "real" outcome of the trial by combat? If the Mountain is still alive then the Hound is still in play I reckon. If they simply kill off the Hound with a wound infection it would be a pretty shit way to end his participation in this, but it is concerning that they mentioned it again in the last ep. Im really finding the Balish story intriguing. He is very much playing a long game and it seems to be paying off. There is real power to be gained by him soon enough I reckon. I think the crazy kid might be meeting "a hunting accident" pretty soon. Im still scratching my head as to who or what will save Tyrion??? If the Mountain is dead, is it the equivalent to a hung jury and the "Gods are unsure"?? I dont see Jamie doing it all of a sudden. What annoys me/confuses me is that Tywin is pretty much happy to kill his son like this when he knows damn well Tryion's worth and that his intelligence is a good tool/weapon he can/could use. Yet he stupidly does not embrace it and use it. Why did he not simply dispose of him way before this? He claimed previously that he was "still a Lanister" but he is very much far from that way of thinking currently.
russycarps
I agree with you: re tyrion. It still isnt really clear to me why they hate him and want him dead all of a sudden. They didnt seem to have this level of hatred when the whole program began (unless I've just forgotten). I get that they blame him for his mothers death, but why now have they decided he must die? It doesnt make sense to me. Probably it's explained better in the book. It will take a very clever bit of writing for tyrion not to be killed. If he is just bundled out of the city in the same way sansa was it will be a bit of a let down. Nothing short of dany's dragon swooping down and carrying him off will do for me I think if ayra ended up killing the hound a lot of people would turn against her. Her reasoning for wanting him dead is a bit flakey I think. Now you mention his wound again I have a terrible feeling you are right and that it will somehow be the cause of his downfall. Gutted. I think the mountain is actually dead, he got stabbed in the chest didnt he? I reckon balish actually made himself appear a bit weak last episode, if he really is obsessed with the stark women. Do you think he is besotted with sansa now? Or is power still his number one goal? so many questions!
t8yman
The thing is, most of what is wrong with kings landing would be fixed with the death of Cersei and Tywin, 2 people I dont think anyone would shed a tear for.
Spindles
Maybe Sansa is actually true to her husband and somehow saves the day by delivering creepy Uncle (truly, by marriage) Balish to justice and saving Tyrion's waddling little hide? Gnah...fantastic telly!
ThomThomDrum
The thing is, most of what is wrong with kings landing would be fixed with the death of Cersei and Tywin, 2 people I dont think anyone would shed a tear for. Who will we hate with all our hearts then? The Boltons? Their flower is only beginning to bloom We need Kings Landing to be constantly in turmoil or potential turmoil. Killing the Lanisters and bringing "peace" will not entertain us for too long Although we want certain people to die we would not have what we have if they were not there. GOT is very much more about loving to hate. Well, the way I see it there is more of that throughout it seems
ThomThomDrum
I reckon balish actually made himself appear a bit weak last episode, if he really is obsessed with the stark women. Do you think he is besotted with sansa now? Or is power still his number one goal? Balish very much wants his cake and wants to eat it, with the "cherry" intact and all. He see Sansa as a replacement for the love the Starks took from him. She is of the woman he loved. She is the new Catelyn. Sansa gives him the potential of a noble blood line. The Eyrie acts a a great place to rise to power, as Westeros history shows how strong a place it is to defend and it can act as a platform from which more power can be attained. Could Balish eventually rule the lands around the vale of Arryn from the Eyrie and maybe reclaim the North from the Boltons? Take the Iron Islands from the Greyjoys? Turn the Boltons against the Lanisters? Who knows? But whats goin on in the North is going to ramp up, big time. Also the crows are in trouble so will the Wall be properly breached and the wildlings flood into the North? Maybe they will weaken the new wardens of the North while Balish is protected in the Eyrie thus effectively making him stronger? Tis very interesting. And there is a hell of a long way to go overall...........simply intriguing stuff TBH
windy_miller
I thought Sticky Fingers had given her one, after all they're scene before when she said ''I know what you want'' and then she came down the stairs a changed woman Nah, if they got it on they would have shown it. Remember, this is Game Of Thrones, where they never pass up an opportunity to show some flesh! Agreed, I always avoid this thread unless I am fully up to speed, and the UFC thread, and anything I value not being spoiled! I've read the books and I still avoid this thread until I've seen the latest episode!
fred quimby
Brilliant once again. Prancing victor to screaming skull crush. Love it I assume that the wall will be taken then the wildlings will sweep south to face the Boltons. Leaving the walkers to just walk on down whenever they feel like it (I do hope they sweep all before them, and it has been hinted at by Grrrrrrrr Martin) I really like little finger now where as I didn't in previous seasons In Thronecast they mentioned that Jorah was part of the Gold (something or other so could be going back there but I assume he is out Love the monty python Easter Eggs Next weeks should be great not sure we will find out Tyrions fate until the last ep, but although I Like him I hope he dies. Not sure what role he has now Oh and maybe Ayra kills the hound as he is dying from his infection. With a tear in her eye as he calls her a Cnut but want her to finish him off. The Golden Company The only Monty Python reference I've spotted so far was Davos reading the word knight as "ker-nigget". Was there one in the last episode? Supposedly there was also one in the scene outside Mereen a few episodes ago... http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2014/may/13/game-of-thrones-monty-python
fred quimby
The chap on Thronecast that made the languages said there were a few in there (maybe I'm wrong), also words for his wife are all over it too The Golden Company - That's the one
ThomThomDrum
Yeah I very much sense an hour away from Kings Landing next week. Just to keep us on edge about it all and then the last episode............Boom! But Boom how??
Spindles
There has been a bit of a trend this series for the first 3/4 of an episode to be the various advancing plots and then the last 1/4 to be the big scene (thinking of the wedding, Tyrion's trial and this week's episode in particular), while in the previous series it was always that episode 9 was all killer no filler and episode 10 was tying up the loose ends and setting the stage for the next series. Cannot wait to find out which way it will go. 10 episodes a year is not enough! I really wish there was some sort of directors cut like with the LOTR DVD's. atomised
So. From a position of complete ignorance but intrigued about this series I'm guessing it's not one i can just catch up on and that I'll need to start at the beginning

Gnomicide
Do you reckon 'ginger minge' is something the American writers brought to the party?
