Episode 10 really delivered the goods. Bran's storyline finally gets interesting!

Well, as I was told off last week for commenting...

Yes, at last someone made some skeletons scarier than the Ray Harryhausen ones. Only took the media industry FIFTY FUCKING YEARS. His entire story was worth it for that scene alone.

The "meet with Wotan & kids" was all a bit shit, as is his everything else about him and his story.

Ayra is finally moving along to where she belongs. The Hound/Bigbird scrap was pretty great.

The "goodbye dad" was great, but Varis moving from King's Landing was the surprise.

And just to be clear if you haven't watched and you click on that don't whine to me.

Was anyone else worried that Jamie was double crossing Tyrion?

Also a little sad that Tyrion showed himself to be as fallible as the rest with Shea. Was half hoping he'd stick an arrow in Cersei!

So was it him who brought her back? Was she in with Tywin all along? I think I need to rewatch the episode as I've taken it all at face value!!

She did clearly, honestly, was in love with Tyrion. She would have stood by him to the end - that's what's so tragic about it all. Remember Tyrion denounced her as a whore and said she was not fit to bear his children. Sure, it was to protect her life, but she didn't know that and it broke her heart.

So when the other Lannisters caught her: scared, distressed, and without a place in the world, she naturally enough latched onto them especially since they were clearly wise enough to treat her reasonably.

Do you think the hound is really dead??? Surely he has to end up fighting his soon-to-be zombie brother...

Good point, my partner was going through the list of those we'd seen killed and I had to correct her we didn't see The Hound die. There might not have been a Magster around the rock, but it's not impossible Big Bird and Baldric will turn around to scrape him up for more info. But I'm not especially expecting to see him again.

Looking forward to Mountain #2, though I think this will be technically Mountain #5.

The hounds dead baby, the hounds dead.............or so I believe. Was a cool way to go but I thought Arya would stick it to him with conflicting feelings. She obviously hated him more in the end then I thought

Tywin of the jacks was a great end to that  What the hell is going to happen in Kings Landing now?

As for Stannis! I did not see that coming at all. I could not make out who the hell it was until he was there in the flesh. Nice twist there for me. It will be very interesting to see how that progresses

Yes the Bran story moved on but that story and where it is now will take me a while to digest and accept. I did not enjoy it. It goes beyond what I accept at face value. Its very much like the white walkers for me too

I was looking for more on the Baelish story but will just have to wait now

Good all round.............now I will duly forget it all over the coming months!

Was typing on my phone last night, so didnt really go into any depth. I thought it was the perfect end to the season. Tied up a lot of loose ends, and left us wondering about many others. I found the Brann story a little bit too laden in fantasy, although the skeleton fight was fucking brilliant, they finally topped the harryhausen skeletons from the 70's!

The lannisters are seriously weakened now, although they wont have to "go public" with the incest shite seeing as Tywin is brown bread. I find Cersei increasingly repellant with every episode, especially the scene last night where she was giving the "fuck me" eyes to Jamie whilst knelt at his crotch. made me shudder it did.

We too were saying "who the fuck is this?" until we clapped eyes on Stannis, I'm sure many of the geeks will have recognised the banner on the flag bearers, but we didnt.

Danny seems like her story is just getting duller and duller, I dont want any book spoilers, but I have been convinced for a long time that she was going to assault Kings Landing with her huge army and dragons, and fucking own the place. Now I am not so sure, maybe this is all exposition - her learning how to be a good leader by her mistakes etc, but as a plot line she has been faltering all through this season.

Tyrion is still the best thing in it. What a legend.

I thought the Dany storyline was quite good in that she is struggling to live up to her many names - she can't control her dragons, her slaves want to go back to being owned and her people are dying. With the dragons she would seem to have been the "favourite" in any out and out battle for the throne but as she can't control them it throws that into question - she'll have to come up with something a little more clever if she still plans to challenge for it.

Better than that, Jason and the Argonauts was released in 1963.

there's a whole legion of Sandor Clegane fans and book readers asking the same question, who knows? As they said last night usually we get to see the deaths rather than it being left to our imagination so I think not....

that's a romantic way of looking at it

ah right, so it's ambiguous in the book too then. Good stuff.

I think the fact his brother was shown to be alive is the reason he is not dead. I'd be amazed if he never gets his shot at vengeance, especially now oberyn has carked it. That's why I was convinced he wasnt going to lose that duel...

This zombie magic stuff that this other maester is about to practice (and obviously will succeed with) on the Mountain; anyone else think there is a massive significance to it? It seems to unnerve Pycelle. The maester admits he was stripped of his maestership to Jamie for dodgy practices. Maybe there is a link to this sort of magic to that found north of the wall with the white walkers, reanimated skeletons etc etc..........

Because a romance was exactly and precisely how she and he were written, acted, and presented, in the show. Varis confronted her - trying to tempt her away with proper riches: diamonds, a good home, servants - and she stayed because she loved him, a truth Varis accepted.

I'm told in the books her "whore" side, i.e. a coldly mercenary nature, is much more evident. But in the show her character is different or was at least consistently portrayed as very different.
