I have a feeling that Littlefinger's obsession with Sansa is going to end up being the thing that brings him down. She's not an idiot, I think she's realised that she can wrap him around her little finger, and at some point she's going to cut him loose.

She has seen the politicking of Cersei, Tyrion, Littlefinger up close and got to know the whole court personally and see them for who they really are. She might have been the weak, stupid little girl once, but I wonder whether that will always be the case. She is more like her mother than any of her siblings.

Well I've caught up from episode 1 right through to the current series over the last two weeks. I want to love it like the rest of the world seems to but ultimately my reaction is meh. Shame really.

I'd agree with this. She's even starting to look a lot like her mother. She's had one of the most complete character arcs of the whole show so far. I know everyone loves Arya, and with good reason, but I really do have a hunch that her storyline is not heading to a pleasant or happy place. She's almost too far gone by this point to ever really have a happy ending.

Oh, of course. So far he's tried for Catelyn, her sister, and her daughter. If Robb were still alive he'd probably be fluttering his lashes at him as well.

That's interesting. I think you're the first person I've ever heard say that. Even my dad, who is by no means a TV lover, is thoroughly enjoying it! Maybe it's the binge that's killed it for you?

Funniest line of the series is in season one: "he fights like a girl with palsy".

Felt underwhelmed by parts of this episode. Jon Snow being offered the title of Jon Stark Lord of Winterfell is such an great chapter in the books, as is the vote for the lord commander, both scenes felt very rushed in this episode, especially the offer from Stannis which is such a big moment for Jon as its what he's always wanted in a way, to be a Stark by name.

Best line of the episode was Tyrion saying Cersai should spread her legs for whoever brings her his head. "My best part for hers" haha

What's the ultimate story arc? 7 series?

Really hard to say, because the books vary in length, the series sometimes heavily abbreviates and from what I have heard, from this series on will be differing more and more from the books, with characters being killed off in the series who were not in the books. Add to that that the books haven't been completed yet and the rumour of a big screen finish and who knows.

The "main" conflict one would imagine is between 'White Walkers/Others' and everyone else. GRRM seems to be at least two books away from getting this lined up, never mind brought to conclusion.

Yes we are due to the theory that one of the main characters will end up leading the army of the white walkers.

This was true until the skeleton fight scene (one of the best bits of film ever, finally topping Jason & The Argonauts) and of course the Night's King turning the baby. Now they're pretty cool.

For my money the worst thing is fucking bitchy snobby stick-up-her-arse Dragon Lady. (Let's face it, most of the praise for that character is actually praise for that character's tits & bits).
