If you juxtapose the Ramsay/Stansa scene with the Ramsay/psycho-girl scene, the latter is less disturbing because they are both on the same page. She is as into provoking him as he is to "taking" her as some kind of punishment for it. Whereas while Sansa may be aware of what's coming, she's certainly not willing...

I've actually been enjoying this season quite a bit actually, not as good as S4 though and one of the weaker seasons but still enjoying it.

Also the only problem that I had with the rape scene was that Sansa just kinda of took it. She has shown to be a strong character now and even stood up to Miranda earlier on so the fact she didn't do anything seemed a bit odd to me. I know she couldn't stop it but at least some resistance, but I do like the points mentioned that it is just expected and maybe she knew it would have been worse if she try to resit it.

Anyway it is clear that this season is going to end at the Battle of Winterfell and I'm guessing that Theon is going to try to redeem himself to Sansa by killing Ramsay.

Just watched, I am firmly in the 6 episodes of fuck all camp. Its all moving at snails pace, with barely any consequence to where its going so far. There are far to many threads going on with people just milling about, as soon you think something might happen it stops and cuts to someone milling about.

Even the wedding scene was meh! Saw people talking about it and I was all ready for some sort of event (maybe Theon breaking or Stannis reaching Winterfell) but you could pretty much guess Ramsey was going be a sadistic bastard to Sansa as soon as the formalities were done. All we got was Theon whimpering a little bit more than usual.

Can't remember who said it, but most of what we are getting at the moment is just filler for 50 minutes where as previous seasons mostly had something actually going on most episodes to break up the filler and moving individual stories forward.

You're reading the thread before you've seen the episode?

Silly boy.

TBF I was not aware of Sky airing it over night and so I thought you were being a dick. My mistake.

I was reading the thread this morning as I thought it may have been commented on in anticipation of what was to air.

I definitely wasn't try to be a dick.

No fucking way would I try to spoil GOT for someone, especially the best episode thus far.

Really honestly didn't think anyone would read this thread on the Monday prior to having seen it.

Sorry... but don't worry you'll still enjoy it.

It's all good. I came back from shopping, saw this thread and remembered it was Monday :D

Cracking episode, J Price was excellent, the pious menace really works, he's becoming a character on par with Tywin Lannister for me. I didn't want this episode to end, really looking forward to watching all 10 in succession once the series is done, the pacing will feel right then I reckon.

I like how Jaime's dodgy parenting situation just keeps putting him in awkward situations he doesn't have an answer for.

Yep brilliant episode. Cant fault any of it.

Things arent looking good for sam though...surely those dudes wont let it lie? Is there any particular reason Ghost stayed behind though? I'd have thought he'd have gone with john snow.

Aemon's death was really quite touching. It also disproved the myth that good guys dont get pleasant deaths in GoT!

I also dont think I will be arguing whether or not sansa is being raped this week....I'm glad theon didnt immediately help her out though. It was a nice little plot twist when he went straight to ramsey.

The sand snakes scene seemed a little gratuitous, but as a red blooded male I'm not complaining about the sight we saw, plus it's good to know bronn isnt a gonner (yet). I wonder what jaime will do when he finds out about events in kinds landing?

Jonathan pryce is comfortably the best actor on the show now. I love his scenes.

There is no doubt it was an enjoyable episode, but there was lulls for me in it.

Sam getting his end away I could not have been bothered with and Dani and her fella's bedside convo was boring the bejaysus out of me

Uncle/Daddy Jamie struggling with his daughter was not really peaking my interest either

I am feeling for Stannis right now with his apparent dilemma wrt his daughter. Fuck that shit.

Ooo russy, that Theon thing passed me by. I thought Theon did go to do it but Ramsay happened to be waiting for him there, having found out via some other route!

Also, I thought Ghost would have got with Jon in the last series when he went to negotiate with the Wildlings and he didn't. It's like he's forgotten he has a pet wolf  or maybe it's the sentimental aspect of him being a gift from his father?

That was my thought on first watch. Second watch I realised he'd gone to Ramsay not the broken tower.

Also. Jorah saying Tyrion is a gift. For what? He has no value in Kings Landing as a captive and by now will be well out of the loop with current events.

I thought the same thing. I dont really see what tyrion brings to the party. There's no scheming to be done on her part, which is what he excels at. All she needs is to invade westeros with her army and dragons and I cant see how tyrion can help with that.

I also wonder whether all will be forgiven with jorah. If it is, I dont really see why.

Also, is dany not aware that it was slaves she was watching fighting? And why did that dude break tyrions chains? And why was he the only one chained up anyway?

Finally, there is still no chemistry between her and crappy daario. I wish he'd get killed off. He bores the piss out of me.
