I am going alone this year and have for the last three times I have been. I do thing it is good going on your own as when the music starts you can see the artists who I want to see without make a decision with your mates and end up missing the artist you want to see. I also do not understand people who constantly try find their mates and what experience the music with and have to be their and end up wailing h holding hands

This will be my first big festival but I think to go on my own too .. however it will be cool to meet new people and have unforgetable weekend

Anyone interested in setting up camp? I've got my itinery of bands I will be seeing (tbh when I goto festivals with friends we tend to do our own thing music wise anyway, which may or may not be the same, and join forces afterwards) but I am up for beers and chat in campsite (sounds like it's really boring after the arena closes and some have said it's often overrun with twats who might not be so good to be around if you are on own). I have to say, depending on which friends, I do prefer being in a gig alone anyway. Nice singing and dancing with friends but hate it when some want to have a conversation and end up nearly blowing my eardrum when they suddenly shout over the music into your ear. LOL Camping and drinking alone is not cool!

I'm joining in 'going alone' after reading your posts. Keep watching every year on TV and want to be there. So have bought ticket. Bit scare now though as I'm old or mature shall we say. But love music. ☺️

I have had the same situation with my wife and am a bit apprehensive about going on my own so would be happy to arrange to meet up with anyone as it would be nice to camp with a group as its fun that way....and who knows we may even wanna see some of the same people. Anyone fancy it?

I am off to Weston lorretta alone as well plus I will have come all the way from devon! I went a few times in the past last time on my own and enjoyed the amtosphere and of course the music which you can see who you want with out people nagging you

I'm only travelling from Yorkshire so not too far. It's going to be my first V festival but have done both Leeds and Glastonbury alone but was feeling nervous about the prospect of having to camp alone.

Yes it would be good to meet up and camp together for a bit of comfort to know that a person in the same situation is near you and maybe have a drink together

Yeah thats what ive seen too. Im fine with anywhere really but preferably nowhere too rowdy but not dead quite either :-) any ideas from anyone whose been before?

I've done some research and it looks like Green is the campsite for me. It's not too far from the arena, about 10 minutes, not too rowdy and not dead either with a chance of a decent nights sleep

Green sounds good to me :-D im coming from bradford on the big green bus. Leave at 8.30 so should be there around noon hopefully.
