CHRLY
Just thought, the only acts that I am likely to see over the weekend that I have already seen are elbow and arcade fire (only elbow to get a good spot for af). Absolutely stunning lineup for me, clash hell mind.
Bradders
Also I've already seen 26 of the 37 I'd like to see. Does anyone ever think that having done so many festivals (as most of us have), a lot of the underwhelming feeling about lineups is simply that we've kinda seen everyone already? They can't really win, to be fair.
mattgimmeshelter
One thing i'd say, is this feels like a glastonbury lineup which pays homage to a multitude of genres and has some of the best names in that genre. The biggest metal band ever and one of the most artistically influencing bands as two headliners. Whilst also having a (despite opinions) a band who are popular and part of British culture, yet still new and are willing to bring new stuff to the table. Also bringing in american indie rock in Jack White and The Black Keys, heritage acts like Robert Plant and one of the most legendary country artists ever. And at the same time, getting every mainstream act doing the rounds at most festivals playing slots lower. The only criticism (and it's hard to find one) is they have neglected hip hop a little bit, but then again I doubt the "I Only listen to hip hop" crowd even bat an eyelid at glastonbury? It is genuinely one of the most balanced glasto lineups i've seen, so much to see and so much variety. It annoyed me alot today seeing/hearing moaners complaining that they book acts "No One Gives A Shit About". I personally hope these people piss off forever, and stop tickets becoming so hard to get... so those who want to go either for the lineup or the experience appreciate the types of act glasto book, and the respect they rightly give to acts who contribute to music. To me, it's a lineup i'd love to see... I can't deal with the complainers right now, I'd gladly take their ticket if they didn't want it. Messy
Yeah, the line-up is peppered with excellent hip-hop. One of the best things about it, for me.
mattgimmeshelter
Danny Brown, Chance The Rapper, J5, De La Soul, Deltron 3030. It's not exactly been ignored.
FloorFiller
the hip-hop this year (for me) is fantastic. although no doubt some clashes will deny me the chance, i'd go and see all / most of the hip-hop acts that have been announced thus far
TheBoz
Each time i look at the line up i keep finding more acts that grab my attention. Echoing what has been said previously but it's just incredible the line up they have managed to get. That's before any of William's Green has been announced which was my favourite stage last year. All i can say is thank goodness i'm going to Werchter the weekend after to help relieve clashes!
brettredmayne
How many more are still to be announced then? And why the delay?

brettredmayne
Maybe we might get a special guess like beady eyes slot last year?
frostypaw
The delay is inevitable when you're dealing with 100+ stages - that's a HUGE number of acts to pin down and negotiate with even if things go swimminglyThey'll tell us when they know now - just gotta be patientOnce again, Glasto's line up drinks all other festival line ups beer, beats them in a fight, then shags their girlfriend. It's a winner.
cwaite123
Poster wise its the same amount of acts we got last year, we didn't get the FULL line up with day splits for all of the stages until the end of May so expect another 3ish weeks until we get closer to the full line up. Wouldn't surprise me though if a few of the smaller areas confirm all their acts before then e.g. Silver Hayes, Glade etc
swede
Im really hoping for a tbc to be opening the other stage again this year, beady eye wasnt the worst way to start the Friday last year, no matter how knackered Liams voice is these days
Jonny Hobbs
Not just small names - Band of Skulls already confirmed themselves as playing the other but have yet to be announced.
Gucci Piggy
Haven't Klaxons and Franz Ferdinand self-confirmed, too? Although I really do struggle to see where Franz could play.
broken monkey
Just noticed that v2 of the lineup poster is already up. Only changes to the Avalon stage though (Dervish, Dry the River and The Bad Shepherds added - Larkin Poe, Marika Hackman and Skinny Lister removed). sisco
Just realised that Example and Miles Kane arent on the lineup. Is this the 1st time Pilton Party acts havent been on the following year?

ICGenie
I always put that down to exhaustion. I tend to spend Sunday afternoons at Bestival looking at the sideshows and watching cabaret and comedy etc, and not spending any energy on dancing until some point in the evening. DJL
I may in a minority that i can see why thay have gone for jake bugg as an other stage headliner. I won't be there but i'm sure plenty will and i like the idea of 'headliners' playing the last but one slot a la pixies (who would have been a crazy clash with metallica) and smashing pumpkins. I'm considering dolly parton and jack white as my headliners on their days and anything that happens after is a bonus. Can see the se corner being busy during the saturday headliners though... Gucci Piggy
They both sort of implied it. Klaxons have since said they're not there and I dunno about Franz; no big loss there mind.
dentalplan
Oh ffs I was looking forward to both, especially Klaxons.
