Arcade Fire and Kasabian have been set in stone since their announcements, but really not sure what I'm gonna do on the Sat night. None of Metallica, MGMT, and Mogwai are must sees, but all interest me in some way. And then there's the Pixies / Jack White decision - again neither a must see, but wouldn't mind checking both out.

to be honest, current popularity wise, Jake Bugg is probably much bigger than any of last years Other headliners. he's just not a great act to finish your night with like all of last years headliners (and Skrillex and Massive Attack) are. if he was third on Pyramid i don't think people would bat an eyelash

As in lower key than usual Saturday nights - the lack of a mass crowd puller in the Coldplay/Stones/Jay Z (even Bruce/Muse to a lesser extent) ilk.

Also the acts they asked will know there's a high chance nobody will be watching BBC Two that night, which might explain why a load of bands who on the face of it could happily fill Jake Bugg's slot and look less out of place have taken other usually less prestigious slots instead.

Just a small point which I don't think anybody has mentioned... any chance they've gone a bit lower-key on the Saturday because they're anticipating people leaving the site (temporarily) in their droves to watch a potential England match?

So having gone from definitely pixies being my Saturday headliner to thinking I'd let my teenage years take control at metallica, I made the mistake of listening to mogwai young team last so am now undecided. Do I travel the mogwai road further which will probably mean I end up at the park alone or go with the hype and watch the metallicas?
